Huntingfield Creek is very lovely, well run, friendly, clean, interesting, peaceful - a worthy destination for those reasons alone. However, the highlight for us was the freedom we could give our dachshund mix dog. The Inn is set very far back from the road; the road is not a busy road. The Inn is surrounded by fields and the fields...

So fun to have you here with us! The opossum adventure made for great story-telling at the breakfast table. Thanks for your positive and thoughtful review...you highlighted some of the things our guests enjoy most and you gave readers a good sense of the property. Btw-Rock Hall is still just waking up to a new season, so we're glad you...

A welcoming atmosphere with host and hostess Jim and Joanne Rich. Joanne's breakfasts are amazing! The room was beautifully appointed and very comfortable. There are lots of activities available right on property: kayaking on the Chesapeake, bicycling on scenic country roads, walking on forest and beach-side trails. One more highlight for me was the osprey nest 300 yards from the...

My friend and I were looking to skip town and drive very far. How wonderful to find this gem. I feel like I hit a jackpot. It is so beautiful from the moment you drive in. The gardens are spectacular, the house is cozy, our cottage with lovely and modern. We were delighted with our stay. We enjoyed walking down...

Thanks, ladies! You two were bound to have a great time, away from the cares of the world and being with a bestie to share some downtime. Glad to hear we had the ingredients to make it special...the Woods Cottage is the favorite of several regular visitors. Heard you say next time with hubbies and we're sure you'll have fun...

We spent two relaxing days and nights at this beautiful 70 acre property in Rock Hall. It is the perfect luxury country waterfront estate to get away and enjoy the simple, honest pleasures of the Chesapeake. We stayed in the Zen Cottage which is very comfortable and very elegantly appointed. It offers an expansive, unobstructed view from its deck down...

Thank you for wonderful comments on your favorite things! We really let the land tell us what to highlight for our guests. Honestly, every time I have the opportunity to really survey the property, I get inspired to develop something new! It is a delight to us when our dear visitors take notice. So glad the dogs were being adorable...something...

We stayed 2 nights in April in the farm cottage. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we plan to return. The grounds are amazing! The room was great (met almost all my high standards). Breakfast was wonderful and plentiful but do go at 830. Very berry breakfast bread pudding is to die for! They have a "bar " area w...

We are grateful for your full-throated review of the Inn. Your take on the weekend here is, in our opinion well-balanced and helpful for future guests. Fyi- we do make top sheets available upon request (we will add that to the Inn info book). The sheeted duvet system is very popular but I do know what it's like to sometimes...

My husband and I just returned from a very relaxing three nights at the Huntingfield. During the off season the inn has specials rates and we're glad that we took advantage of them. When we arrived we were shown around the inn and grounds by a very friendly young woman. The inn has a living room with a tv and...

Thanks for your comprehensive comments. Jim and I (owners) were visiting family in Italy and left our Inn Associates in charge. We are strict about containing our pets during breakfast and are extremely sorry you had this experience. One of our labs, Jezebel, is almost 17 yrs. old and must be watched carefully so as to avoid an accident. Soon...

My husband and I stayed at the Inn Saturday night. We had a lovely room and enjoyed sitting in the library enjoying a nightcap after dinner with friends at Bay Wolf Restaurant in Rock Hall. Our only criticism is not being dog owners we would have appreciated the dogs being outside during breakfast. They are level with the breakfast buffet...

Please refer to our response from the previous review. Same time and weekend in question, while we were travelling. Our policy is that our pets are unobtrusive or away from the breakfast rooms when we're serving guests. True, though- breakfast is served at 8:30, and replenished until all the guests present have had their fill. Typically, guests enjoy a lingering...

We stayed mid-week in one of the cabins using a special and it was well worth it. The amenities were top-notch. We were seeking quiet and relaxation which we definitely found. The boat dock on the bay with abundant birds was a nice bonus. The grounds were very scenic. The location also provided convenient access to a nearby bird sanctuary...
