The hotel was highly recommended by a friend. However I was disappointed in the housekeeping services. The hotel was still operating under its Covid-19 guidelines which stated you would not receive housekeeping services unless requested and you can not be in the room. I placed the notice on door requesting maid services early in the morning since I would be out of the room for at least 8 hours. I stayed four days and did not receive maid service. I had to request clean towels from the front desk. There was mole in the bathroom and the sand wasn't cleaned from the floor. The shower curtain had mole. Needless to say I will not recommend this hotel. The only positive was the friendless of the front desk staff.
Not a great experience. Parking sucked (had to walk 3 blocks to their 'supplimental parking), toilet did not flush correctly, tub would not allow baths, thermostat was governed at 68 degrees, horribly thin walls with loud neighboors at 12am, bed was uncomfortable, bad coffee, several power outlets did not work correctly, and wifi signal was spotty at best. Oh, and the indoor pool is hilariously small. $270 a night for that?
Check in was quick. Our room was big, two queen beds, and super clean! Honestly probably one of the cleanest rooms I've ever been in while visiting OCMD, and we come 3 times a year. Price was very reasonable for nice side ocean view right on the boardwalk. Staff was very friendly. Only drawback were: AC would not go below 68, the room had very few electrical outlets and the mattresses were super uncomfortable. Definitely need upgraded
First time here, stayed a week, just before the season officially begins. Had never stayed here before so chose it for the location and the price. All in all we were pleased and will probably be back. If you’re looking for something pricy and luxuriant, this isn’t it. If you’re looking for a comfortable room, on the boardwalk that’s clean, bug free (I always look) and has a kitchenette, you would probably like it here. Everything is outdated but functional. A hairdryer, 4-cup coffee maker, iron&board, microwave, motel-room-sized fridge, kitchen sink and counter area are included. I’m on a special diet so appreciated having a space to prepare most of my meals. Our room was on the side, farthest room from the ocean and we could still see the boardwalk and ocean. They do have front rooms that offer a direct view. The room was quiet- didn’t hear noise from any other room nor did we hear walking on the floor above. BYO dishes, silverware, pans and kitchen cleaning items. An small electric burner or griddle would come in handy if you do plan to cook. The thermostat was set to 76 when we arrived and it was locked but I only had to ask and they sent a fellow up immediately to unlock it. The mattress and box springs have seen better days but were not uncomfortable and each bed had 2 firm plus 2 soft pillows. The desk people were friendly and accommodating. Because of COVID, rooms are not made up during your stay but whenever we asked a cleaning person for something they were happy to provide what we needed. I’m afraid of elevators and another reviewer called them rickety but I did not think so. The 2 elevators are large enough that I didn’t feel boxed in and they were fast so I didn’t have to be on them for long.…
My wife and I have been staying at this location for nearly 20 years. The staff there treat us like family and we feel the same about them. We were looking for an oceanfront hotel at an affordable price for our family. This hotel is very centrally located and the value cannot be beaten! It is clean and has kitchenettes to allow for dining in the room. We are definitely customers for life.
