Been staying at the commander hotel for two years now. Had a better experience before the remodeling was completed and the price went through the roof. Housekeeping was not that great did not even tip. Took our kitchen table out of inside had to feed my kids breakfast outside. Miss the stand up shower and tub. Was supposed to have...

Clean, convenient and affordable. Loved the pool as well. Super friendly staff and the connecting restaurant's food (Grotto Pizza) was the best on the boardwalk! There's an indoor pool only 3 feet deep but cute and cozy for the kids.

Clean, clean, clean!!!! Welcoming staff. Great location, right on the Boardwalk. Quiet. Beds and pillows were luxuriously comfortable. Room was spacious enough for 4. Will never stay at any other hotel.

Stay here every year. Will be back next year. Clean, Friendly. They do everything possible to make your stay their number 1 priority. Call the front desk for anything you need, it shows up at your door within 10 min. Got a new young bell boy that is fantastic. Did I mention right on the boardwalk.

The Commander is a CLEAN, well-kept hotel within all the action of the boardwalk. All of the rooms have balconies. From the oceanfront suites on the north side the view extends to the Ferris Wheel at the end of the boardwalk. The staff is helpful and takes pride in working in the hotel. It seems like a mom-pop operation hotel,...

Newly remodeled modern-style room was beautiful. Room sizes are just enough space but let's face it, we're not there to sit in room. The boardwalk and ocean are the main attractions for us! The view of both were EXCELLENT! Hotel is located mid-point on boardwalk which was great, we could walk to rides/games but our locations was not too loud,...

Bathrooms were dirty! The stairwells were dirty and smelled, Parking was horrible. On the positive side. Bedding was nice, oceanfront rooms were ample, 2 flat screen tv. Eat in restaurant was less than desirable, but very forgiving for the food

We found this hotel on a website that was having deals. Wasn't sure what to expect but it got almost 5 stars. So decided to book. We arrived and the parking was a little tricky. Very minimal parking and if you leave you lose your spot. But other than that, everything else was great! We would come back!

“The rooms before the renovation were much nicer and larger. I miss the removed large refrigerators. The mini fridge is tacky for such a large hotel since there's plenty of kitchen space. Poor decisions were made with the 2016 fall renovation.”
