We stayed here for a few days while our boys camped at Rodney for boy scout camp and felt central to other lovely towns in the area, Havre de Grace & Chesapeake City to do day trip to, as well as heading into Woody's in town for dinner. Bathrooms were super clean, camp host very pleasant. We were running very... More

This is a nice campsite, although a bit crowded for RVs. Not a lot of privacy. Cute nearby town with antique shops, winery and restaurants. You will need a car to get from the campsite to the lighthouse and Elk neck beach area. Nice walk to the lighthouse

We had rented a mini cabin for 2 nights but ended up staying there for just a night. The cabin does have the necessary amenties like refrigerator, electric cooking stove etc. However, there are lot of insects, bed bugs, ants in there. We unfortunately were there on an extremely hot weekend (temperature > 100°), and it got extremely hot inside... More

Spent Memorial Day weekend here camping with the family in a travel trailer (25 ft). This State Park has one RV loop with full hook ups. I drove through and it looked nice but seemed more crowded than the other camping loops. We stated in Wye Loop with no hookups. Each camping site had a gravel pad to put your... More

Camped here on a rainy weekend. Upon entry we got a cheerful greeting and a very thorough description of the park. Our campsite was not spacious [tent only, no hook-up] but it was enough. Bathroom facility very clean - even had warm running water. Short easy walk to lighthouse is not to be missed - great views across bay. We... More

We've been camping at Elk Neck State Park for 28 years and try to start the season there! We love this facility! We had a great site and beautiful weather for our stay. Three nights stay and we can't wait to come back! Every season we add something new to discover and the area has so much to offer between... More

We were looking forward to a friendly atmosphere for the Fourth of July weekend. The camp host that was in our loop was unfriendly and had their children patrolling around through the wee hours of the night for no reason. The camp store had anything you may have forgotten at home! From water shoes to breakfast and s'mores materials to... More

The gatekeepers are very helpful with providing me maps of cabin where my family stay and to the beach for family to enjoy at no charge (we stayed overnight). Cabin was clean and in great working condition ... It was extremely hot weekend and the a/c keep us cool overnight. Also, the gatekeeper was very thoughtful finding a parking spot... More

Stayed at Elk Neck state site 14 in the full hookup section. Hooked my electric up and later went to use my microwave and the camper shut down no electric. My surge protector shut off the electric because the volts coming onto my camper were 148 volts If I did not have the protector it would of fried every appliance... More

The mini-cabins are properly named. They're small, but if you want a warm, dry spot without dragging along a trailer or a tent, these cabins are for you. Elk Neck was a great place to hike and explore. hike: http://www.todayswalkoutside.com/2015/04/06/visit-to-elk-neck-state-park/ The park ranger was present without being intrusive.
