The guys who own and operate the place are very nice and will give you a great, hot breakfast. But the rooms are run down and I needed a set of pliers to turn off my lamp because the knob was missing.

- Our credit card was double charged - It was a blast of cultural education. The owner was actually nice to us during our stay. He drove us to a look out that was spectacular. He has a nice dog that likes to sit in the middle of the road outside his lodge. The dining area however is not clean...

Stayed here while traveling the C & O. Not fancy but a good place to stay. Room was clean and bathroom was clean. Breakfast area was a bit dated and could use some updates. Steve (the owner) took us and some other guest to Point Lookup to view the area. We would not have know about this if he hadn't...

I recently biked from Pittsburgh to DC and spent my nights in different lodging along the trail. Little Orleans Lodge was one of my stops close to the halfway point along the ride. Little Orleans is very small town with one restaurant and of course Steve's lodge. After thinking I was lost along the trail I found the town and...

The place advertised Wi-Fi. Didn't have it. The dining area was a mess. Rooms cluttered. The owner submitted credit card charges twice for the three members of our party. The amount on the second billing was almost double the price we had already paid. Owner had made several excuses about billing credit cards.

We were a group of five novice bicyclists riding on the C&O canal bike trail, from Cumberland, MD to Washington, DC. Breaking the trip up into 40 to 60 mile segments meant that our first day of riding would end near Little Orleans, MD. We needed a place to shower, eat and sleep and Little Orleans Lodge fit the bill...

A former hostel, owner Steve has converted to a B&B. At 79 years old, he is quite passionate about the area and local history. I got the nickel tour in his van. Rooms seem to be everywhere and a nice breakfast was prepared.

It rained torrents throughout the night we stayed at the Lodge and we were certainly glad to be off the C&O trail, warm, dry, well-fed, and in our own rooms. We enjoyed a welcoming beer on arrival, great advice on where to eat since, not surprising, Bill's was closed, and strawberry shortcake for desert on our return. Like other reviewers,...

We had 2 rooms supposedly with a "shared bathroom". How is it shared when it is entirely in one room? So if that's not your room, you have to go into your neighbor's room and hope that you can get the magnets on the folding door to all stick. On my trip from Pittsburgh to D.C. this was the worst...

Proprietor a most interesting character; very entertaining. We spent more than the usual time because we arrived early & one of us stayed later than normal the next day. Host was very accommodating. Rooms were clean & well furnished. If you like TV or internet, forget it; location is a bit remote. A great find for cyclists & their support...
