From great fresh food *(I'm a nutritionist), to the staff friendliness, to the size/type of the bedrooms. Style of furniture isn't what I'd normally go for yet, great rooms. Very peaceful place with access to fields for morning walks

Large comfortable, clean room, good shower with lots of soft towels and lovely shower gel etc., firm beds, (suited us but not all), tea/coffee tray and bottled water, in an interesting, old Victorian building that was built by the local lord where his employees could partake of non alcoholic beverages (thankfully no longer the case). Restaurant did not have any...

We had a lovely country walk, as well as dinner and breakfast at The Battleaxes. The staff were friendly and welcoming. 20 minutes drive to Bristol airport. Highly recommended. The room was fine, everything worked well - especially the gorgeous rain shower.

Good food. Front of house staff excellent. Housekeeping of room could be better. Spoke to Manager who rectified things very well and was going to make sure things would be dealt with. Will go back again.

We stayed over on the airport deal and it was absolutely fantastic! On check in we were shown to our room by a lovely polite gentleman, the rooms were beautifully clean with organic toiletries, tea/coffee, iPod doc and tv with power shower and a big comfy bed. Dinner was three courses and as we are both vegetarian we never expect...

Having decided to visit this pub, we had a very pleasant surprise. Very old and rustic with a great atmosphere of olde! The old painted doors and picture frames gave a great old feel to the place. The chairs were old church pews and the tables old to match! The service was great, and the food delicious. Can't wait for...

Stopped here for lunch having read previous reviews. They were correct, a great lunch, good food, served hot and timely. I had the sausage and mash. They were great and the gravy and vegetables a perfect compliment. My wife had the chicken breast burger which was succulent and served with chips, very tasty, and coleslaw. Service was friendly and attentive....

My family booked5 of the rooms as we had a wedding to attend nearby. Everyone who works there were so lovely & accommodating, getting the rooms ready so we could all check in early and as for the breakfast I think it was the best I've had in along time. The rooms were lovely & the beds were so comfy....

We had an overnight here following attending a party held in their function room. Our bedroom was very comfortable with a huge bathroom. This had a walk in shower. & all the usual facilities. There was a selection of toiletries supplied, in large bottles, so no rationing between a family. There was tea & coffee making facilities with a good...
