This place has roaches. I found three in my bathroom and two bear the bed. Place is ran by a bunch of filthy people. The front desk and management are unprofessional with no education. Learn how to speak to customers. Theee is no breakfast not that I would there.
Overall a very nice hotel. Service was very good. The hotel is very clean and well maintained, though it does show slight signs of wear in some places. Our room was very comfortable. The bar was not open due to staff shortage. Breakfast to order was available at an extra cost and what we had was quite good and very reasonably priced. There was plenty of parking. Guest laundry on the 2nd floor. Hotel security was extremely good. You cannot access a floor unless you have a room key programmed for that floor. We are very happy we staid there.
Our room was great. Clean and comfortable. A fridge, coffee maker (Keurig) and microwave were in the room. We were on the second floor. Guests must scan their room key in the elevator to go to the floor they are on, so it was a little extra layer of security. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Cons: The pool is looking a little dingy (stains in the bottom of the pool) and had some hairs floating in the water (it was unoccupied when we arrived). It was also a little chilly in there. We stepped in but ended up not staying to swim. Additionally, there was no breakfast available the day we stayed. Not a big deal because there are several places close by, but I like that for convenience.
I needed to reserve a handicapped room with a walk in shower for my elderly parents. When I contacted Holiday Inn reservations they stated they could accommodate my needs. When I checked in the desk attendant stated that it is Holiday Inn policy that they cannot guarantee a handicapped room - that they can only put in a request and accommodate only on availability at check-in. At first they provided a room with a tub, then they manager stated that the best they could change to was a walk in shower with no safety bars. We took the room. Also at reservation time, I was quoted a rate of $119 per night. When I received the bill, the hotel raised the rate to $149 for the second night and $154 the third night. I didn't read the fine print when I signed for the room as I only saw $119 in the block and didn't read the fine print. This is my fault, but I feel that the check in clerk should make this clear to the customer. I feel like I was taken advantage of and really didn't get what I asked for in the end.…
Our stay was good. Pros - The room looked recently renovated, and was quiet; plenty of outlets to charge cell phones, and the full breakfast was delicious. Cons - The desk chair was broken and needed to repaired or replaced, the toilet seat was loose and needed to be tightened, and part of the carpet was damp near the fan.
The staff at this hotel were very friendly and courteous. Hotel is also very clean with a good atmosphere and no noise. Also, they have computers and printers for the guests use for personal and business. If you are traveling and in the area I recommend this hotel.
The good - -Relatively affordable. We got a group rate with the hotel -Close to a few restaurants and gas stations -Room had a jacuzzi The bad - -Random hairs on "clean" towels -Burn marks on couch -Broken slats on roll out/convertible bed -Questionable age and cleanliness on roll out bed sheets -Arbys food and container under master bed -Needed to do laundry, so I went to the front desk for a key to the 2nd floor (we were on the 3rd and couldn't even press the 2nd floor button). He gave me a key, so I got my laundry and went to the laundry room. The equipment was broken and the door was locked. I went back and asked him why he would give me a key if he knew the laundry wasn't usable. He said he didn't know. That's just great -The ground floor main bathroom had facial tissues to dry your hands -There is some CRAZY, and I mean RIDICULOUSLY loud Church that rents out a common room. Its probably around 130 decibels. Its such a random thing and such a distraction. You can clearly hear it outside. -We needed extra pillows and blankets, since we were using the pull out bed. We requested them at 5pm. They didn't arrive until 10:30pm. Our kids had a game the next morning and couldn't sleep. -The pool is TINY and we were treated to a wonderful view of toilets out the window of the pool room. I imagine they are doing renovations, so they deposited the old/new toilets right outside the pool room. Lovely view. Final thoughts - It was cheaper than the others. We were able to sleep and make it to the games. NOT a do again.…
Great rooms right off of 95 and close to restaurants. Staff friendly lots of parking. Very clean and tidy. A must for tired drivers needing good night sleep. Located in safe area. Very quiet. Play ground accross dtreet
I normally stay at Hampton Inns because of the complimentary drinks and breakfast, but stayed at this Holiday Inn due to availability. Our bathroom was clean, but the room had stains on the couch and some kind of splattered drink all over the closet doors, which didn't even match in color. We were missing the desk chair and were told to come down and get one if we want. The water pressure in the shower was non-existant- 10 mins just to rinse soap off your body- forget shampooing your hair! They sent a maintenance man up but couldn't fix the problem. Luckily, they had extra rooms available and we moved across the hall. Best water pressure ever! However, this room was also missing the desk chair and the couch was wrong-side on the wall. Overall, the staff are nice, but not really professional. Housekeeping is good in your bathroom, but some rooms may be lacking a little attention to spills and other dirt in the room. We were happy to be offered complimentary cookies in the afternoon at the desk! The breakfast was horrible- $8 per person and less quality and quantity than Hampton Inn (which is free!). If this hotel had complimentary breakfast, I would rate it higher. It felt more like a lesser quality hotel (which I dont have a problem with- just dont charge high quality price!).…
My husband and I came into town for a weekend over the weekend. This is not the same brand of Holiday Inn that I remember from 20 years ago and that's a good thing. Very clean and spacious rooms. Front desk folks were really nice as well as the bar/restaurant people. Comfortable beds. Our room was on the 2nd floor right above the bar. The bar was very busy on Friday and Saturday night and we couldn't hear anything coming from downstairs which was nice. I would definitely stay here again.
