Our extended family was traveling to Long Beach for a family event. Gary was gracious in assisting us to book a large block of rooms together. When I went to the main office for check in, I was first struck by all the pictures lining the walls depicting the history of the hotel. This is clearly a well cherished family legacy. Gary was prompt and thorough with the check in process including property policies/procedures. When I walked into the room, I noted how spacious it was with a kitchenette too boot! There was a small fridge, oven, coffee pot, plates, glasses, utensils. Perfect for having a quick bite in your room if need be. The room was clean and the mattress was very comfortable. The location cannot be beat as you simply cross the street and Long beach is RIGHT there under your feet. My biggest complement is to Gary, the owner The man is a one may show! From check in-check out, helping guests out with any/all issues (including my sister locking herself out of her room at 10pm)--he was gracious, kind and helpful. We will be back!

Took my grandson for an extended Labor Day weekend. We only needed the room at night to sleep so even thou it was outdated it was fine for what we needed. Right across from the beach which was great. The pool was very clean. He made friends so they spent time playing tether ball, shuffle board and badminton.

The owner was great and made sure our stay went well.

I would stay there again.

For our first visit to New England, we wanted to stay away from "chain"hotels. We were glad we found this inn on the beach. Extremely quaint, clean and Gary is the best. He heeded our plea for help finding the inn in a blinding rain strom during which road signs were invisible. He waited up in good spirit for our arrival. We felt welcome and were treated to a room upgrade. The room was warm and the little kitchenette was a terrific coonvenience. We woke to a bright, sunny morn with a slight fall chill in the air. Walked out on the beach. The inn's grounds are immaculate, well tended gardens. As we lefr, Gary's mother stood on the porch to wave goodbye. What a unique place in today's world.

As a child I worked in a family run motel business so I know how the operation works. This hotel is a one man run show. He does the cleaning, checking in and the parking. So the checking in process takes a while. The room I had was a corner ocean view room. It smelled like moth balls, which put me in an asthma attack. The tub filled up while showering. The beds are so soft that turning is an issue in them. The AC is so old it clicks on and off all night and is very loud. The place does not have a blow dryer and when you use yours the fuse pops. I paid for a 4 night a Thurs to Monday and left at 1 on Saturday. I emailed the motel and they told me that the place has no moth balls( so why could I smell them and why did I go into an asthma attack) the power is meant to trip with an AC ( so why does one outlet have a 6 way adapter in it) the beds are brand new and there is no problem with the tub. All sales are final no refunds was the last line. May I add I also paid 80 dollars for a 2nd car to park on their property.
I am not pleased with this service will never be back to this place. For the price I paid its very outdated. No handicap accommodations and when you ask about handicap parking alone they say sorry this is your spot. ALSO asked about cleaning for covid and was told by Gary that he uses bleach. TV does not have cable and the wifi service is non existent which the email reply from Edward said he can't help my bad cell service. I had wifi from another hotel. Btw I don't know who Edward is cause never saw him on the property ever. Worae stay ever! Don't stay here move on!

We needed 7 rooms together for a special family event we were having locally, and the owner Gary was very accommodating and supportive from the first phone inquiry call to our actual final check out. He did everything he could to accommodate our needs and last minute changes. He was very reassuring which was a blessing as we were pulling together a lot of other logistics.

The location is perfect and the quaint property and modest rooms were exactly what we were looking for. We commented that “Gary runs a tight ship” and that’s a good thing. His expectations for our stay were clearly communicated to everyone up front upon check-in, from parking to trash removal - so there’s no guessing and no surprises. Thank you Gary for your wonderful support.

Spent 8 days here at the Long Beach Motor Inn and I can tell you it was wonderful. Run by the owner Gary and he welcomes you in as a part of the family to his home. Place is spotless, well run and very friendly. Gary goes out of his way for everyone! Not only is the beach across the street but in the backyard of the motel are picnic areas, swimming pool, shuffleboard and much more. The room has a kitchenette so if you don't want to go out you can cook inside or outback on the grill. All around something for everyone. Would highly recommend and we can't wait to go back next year and hoping for many years to come!! Thank you Gary for such a fun week!!!

This was our first time here, and I was sooo amazed how clean and nice everything was for a long time established Long Beach Motel. It was so convenient to walk across the street to the beach, with a nice view of the Nubble Lighthouse in the distance. We went down to short sands and enjoyed the beach for the 2nd day. You could also enjoy long sands too. There are 2 deli stores on Long Beach for your convenience.

In the morning many ppl are out walking the beach and some have their dogs on beach before 9. The hotel is quiet and inviting.

The owner Gary, is very helpful, and you can tell he takes extreme pride in his property. Everything is so meticulously perfect. The pool is gorgeous, and is in the back surrounded by adorable gazebos with a table and chairs to eat lunch. The beautiful lawns and flowers are so pretty and welcoming.
We stayed on the ground floor and felt very safe. I felt very comfortable sitting outside late at night listening to the waves. The room was all newly painted and wallpapered. The windows were updated, and had am air-conditioning. I d dare you to find any dust or any dirt! There is none!
The high beds are very comfortable to sleep on. I saw a few negative reviews but Gary would be happy to correct anything wrong with your room so you have a pleasant stay.

If you want a nice quaint, clean, safe, beautiful motel cross the road from the beach, you ve found your place.

We booked this hotel because of the location. The location and the beautiful pool area were the pluses.
Unfortunately, the negatives outweighed the positives. There is no staff, just the owner that I could see. We pulled in to check in and it all started. He told us to park between the bushes and we were asked for 20 dollars. I said that we were checking in and he said why didn’t you say so. He redirected us and we went to check in.
We went up to the room which was rather disappointing. The beds were doubles and the linen was like tissue paper. The towels were a little bigger than a hand towel and soooo thin. There were no toiletries or a blow dryer which I consider to be standard.
For $3oo dollars a night, I will not be back!

The owner is very obsessive compulsive. He goes through a very long and exhausting check in process. He takes a picture of your plate and if you have a guest he will harass them for parking anywhere. We saw a box of moth balls on his cleaning cart. We realized that there were moth balls placed under the bed in all the rooms after speaking to the other guests. I would advise you stay almost anywhere else on York beach. There is a reason why he has vacancies at the lowest price.

My husband and I had an incredible time at the Inn. the grounds were such a delight> The back yard was wonderful. Shuffleboard, ping pong house, and all the tables set around the grounds with umbrellas and chairs. A fire pit with wood for roasting. All in a setting of privacy away from the street. We had a lovely room overlooking the pool, and had our breakfast on our deck daily while watching the sunrise over Nubble,Lighthouse.
Our room was beautiful and the kitchen had all you needed. Gary was so attentive and was always available. Just a walk across the street is Long Sands Beach. To be able to come back and have a quiet and peaceful place to stay was amazing. To hear the waves at night in our room was so special. Open windows and ceiling fans a definite plus. We are looking forward to going back next week and for many times in the future.

No, their pool is outside. It's kept beautifully and is heated somewhat, though.
