In our recent visit to Auckland we had an unfortunate experience in that my husband had to go to the hospital for emergency surgery! Due to the earthquake in Christchurch a few days earlier, I couldn't find a hotel room, for the night he had to stay in the hospital. People from the effected areas where seeking shelter from the... We stayed with Keith and Trish on our arrival in New Zealand and before flying home four weeks later. They were a lovely introduction to New Zealand, doing so much more than you would expect from a hotel or even a B&B. Keith took us for an afternoon's sailing in Auckland Harbour; Trish took us to M.J. Savage Memorial Park... More

We stayed for a week. Keith and Trish are lovely people who treated us like family. They had a menu and cooked wonderful delicious breakfasts every day which was included in the price. Our kids loved the breakfast as well. Also the trip sailing with Keith was one of the highlights. They always made us a cup of tea, (coffee... More

I was recently in New Zealand and at the recommendation of a cousin who lives in Auckland I made a booking at the nautical Nook. We were there for 3 nights and I would describe the time we spent there as very comfortable and as close to homelike as I have ever had in my experience with B and B's.... More

Me and my partner were booked to stay 2 nights, on arrival we were met at the door by Patricia and Keith nice couple, and were shown to our room, which seemed fine......then to be told that a rugby game was going to be on that evening in a adjoining big TV room, with thin walls and noise, kind of... Thank you Trich and Keith for making our first visit to New Zealand amazing. Lots of helpful advice and within easy walking distance of Auckland city centre. Frequent bus service if you don't fancy walking. Mission Bay close at hand too. Breakfasts were amazing and huge. We loved the penguin theme in the bedroom. Would love to visit again.
