Affordable Resort Motel in Wells Maine with great location near Wells Beach, Ogunquit and Kennebunkport. The resort features an indoor pool, hot tub, sun deck and a BBQ/picnic area adjacent to a playground. Free Wi-Fi, local calling, use of pool, hot tub and pool towels. Coin-op laundry facilities on site. Room amenities include a kitchenette with small refrigerator, microwave, toaster, coffee pot & complimentary coffee. We stayed at the Motel for a week in November 2024. The room was a regular Motel unit with a heating and cooling unit under the main window... we find these things noisy and shut them off for sleep. The room was very clean and the area was quiet... no train, planes or road noise. The queen bed was firm with lots of pillows the sofa was fine. We didn't try the pool or hot tub but they are available as well as a laundry area. We enjoyed Lord's clam shack in Sanford... $16 Lobster rolls... recommended by locals. Nov is a quiet time of year to visit this area which suited us fine for sightseeing. We would stay here again. Hope this helps.

Hotel's Favourite
Very good location between Kennebunkport and Ogunquit. Only 45 minutes from Portland where you catch a very cheap ferry to many islands. Room/resort is much nicer than expected from the description. We will return next year.

Wells is a nice residential town. The resort is well maintained with a nice swimming pool and Jacuzzi. The studio unit is small but clean and adequate, The Beach is within walking distance and free Beach parking is possible during off-peak hours.

Staff was very nice, motel was a bit farther from the beach areas than we expected, definitely required a car or bicycle to get there. Our studio unit was adequate but tight for 2 people and could never accommodate 4. Bed was very firm and placed close to a wall, making it difficult to access the bathroom. The sofa was uncomfortable, providing little back support. The A/C worked well. The room had no cooking equipment, just a small old microwave and a dorm-size fridge with no freezer. The shower pressure and hot water supply were great, but the power flusher on the toilet would spray the contents of the toilet bowl all over the bathroom unless the lid was closed when flushing. Daily towel exchange and trash pickup is provided. There is a good coin-op laundry on the property and the pool looked nice although we didn't try it. Overall an OK stay.

This is a typical discount motel. Property looks ok from the outside. Room are ok, if dated. Staff not friendly and in fact, are rude. When I went into the office to check out, I was immediately told I must leave the pool area by 12:00 (check out is 11:00). I said ok. And that was that- no "how was your stay?" or" thanks for staying with us". The dark haired clerk with bangs was rude. A little courtesy goes a long way.
Oh and make sure you wash your breakfast dishes. If you don't spent 2 minutes washing your breakfast dishes, they will charge you an extra $25.
Apparently it's written in the fine print of some paper they make you sign, but there was no sign by the sink, and no one mentioned in person, you will be charged extra if you leave a few bowls and cups in the sink. Now you know.
Oh, and the "picnic" area and playground was SUPER BUGGY. We didn't use it at all because the second you step foot on the grass, you are swarmed with mosquitoes.

Clean, friendly but Unit small. No 2 bedroom like I requested! Not close for walking to any beaches or shopping. Trolley Service not running because of shortage of CDL drivers. So you have to fight with the traffic and pay expensive parking to beaches, shopping $20-$40 dollars everyday and then you have to stay in 1 area so x7 days $140-$280 plus ++ just for PARKING. If you stay in Ogunquit trolleys are running & even then it's $5.00 adult $3 children and that's just 1 ride!!!! York Area much more reasonable and can get parking more reasonable and able to Walk to beaches & shopping I would have cancelled this trip if I'd known my Request for 2 BEDROOM UNIT wasn't a possibility. My family mom & sister couldn't come with my not enough room. So they spent $600 for 3 nights at same resort . Not right.

Hello Cindy O, Thank you for submitting a review; feedback is always appreciated. I am sorry you did not enjoy your visit to our beautiful section of the world. There is much to see and having a car is the best way to get the most out of your visit. Unfortunately; this year's weather has been unusually wet... adding to traffic on "non-beach days"....and as a local I get the beach parking can be frustrating, governments don't necessarily work for the people anymore and beaches have become a source of revenue. You can reach the beach by foot, but it is a bit of a walk at a little over a mile. Many people will use a beach cart or wagon to lug their beach necessities and walk to save on the parking. As a fellow RCI user, I think to get the most out of an RCI exchange it is prudent to do a little research on the trade destination and the surrounding area prior to accepting the trade. Sea Mist is not your typical RCI resort... however, not that unusual for New England either. We do not have spacious accommodations as all our rooms are studio. This is stated in our RCI listing, would have been stated when the trade was offered as well as being clearly stated on both the RCI & Sea Mist confirmations and the letter Sea Mist sends to all our inbound exchanges in an attempt to ensure inbound guests are familiar with what Sea Mist can offer. Sea Mist cannot offer a 2-bedroom from our affiliate Misty Harbor as it is completely separate owner's association. Misty Harbor RCI availability is extremely limited as we are an RCI affiliate; not a timeshare resort and availability relies on owner deposits. Only about a 3rd of our owners even participate.

The timeshare units are just as advertised--a small hotel room with small kitchenette. It's nice to be near south Maine coast, but realize it is a short drive to any beach or hiking area, and traffic on the U.S. 1 entrance is heavy. We selected because it is one of the very few timeshares that permit pets, which is appreciated. The pet fee was not appropriate. It is certainly OK to charge a pet fee, but the $25/week + $20/day for daily cleaning is not appropriate when the resort will NOT provide daily cleaning because of Covid. I asked for and was denied not being charged for a daily fee for cleaning when the cleaning is not provided. Ridiculous.

This is a motel. So, if you’re looking for a motel for the weekend, this will probably suffice. We used Time Share points for the week and were sorely disappointed in the place. In the RCI Time Share description, they are clear that this is not a “resort” as is typical for RCI. But….a motel room with motel furniture, a puny bathroom and sink with no door to close it off from the rest of the puny room, a tiny refrigerator with no freezer, no stove (just a microwave), no elevator, no lobby or anywhere to sit/hang other than the plastic chairs outside your room or the pool (which was nice and a nice, large hot tub) no walking access to the ocean and located right off Highway 1….this just doesn’t meet the minimum standard of an RCI Time Share. Spending 20,000+ points for this place is a really bad deal.

My wife and i traveled to Wells for the first time and feel the Sea Mist was an excellent choice. Although we arrived early, the staff was very accomodating and got us in. We were a bit concerned about our studio room based on some reviews but those concerns were unfounded. The room was a good size (we've certainly been in smaller), had a nice sitting area and a comfy queen size bed. It was very clean and looked like it had updated in the past year or so. There was counter space to fix a simple breakfast and lunch. We have been to many New England seaside time shares and every one was a converted motel. Some were very nice, like the Sea Mist, and some not so much. It's just the way it is. There are charcoal grills, picnic tables and a newer looking playground. The resort has a great location close to beaches, restaurants, stores and other seaside towns. We enjoyed our time at Sea Mist and hope to return someday.

Everything, from the staff, to the cleanliness of the hotel, and the pool/hot tub. The other people staying there were so kind, lots of families from Vermont, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Maine, etc. The price is fantastic! I am a professional and working on my Master's degree in Business-this place certainly fits the criteria of a business that thrives on high customer service/satisfaction and implements it. I learn this is imperative in all of my graduate courses. The location of Sea Mist is perfect-it is close to a CVS, Dunkin Donuts, Dollar Tree, and a number of restaurants close by. I will definitely come back and stay here again.

Our Check in time is anytime after 4:00 pm. We do accept early check ins if your room is cleaned and ready. However we do not guarantee any check ins until 4:00 pm. Check out is by 11:00 am.

Unfortunately, Sea Mist does not have rooms with king beds. However, depending on dates, our Pet Friendly rooms have a choice of 1 queen bed and couch that pulls out into a full, or 2 queen beds and no couch. We still have availability in June for Pet Friendly rooms. The Pet Friendly rooms with 2 queen beds are located on the first floor. We have a only 2 of these rooms in inventory. Pet Friendly rooms with 1 queen bed and 1 full pull out couch are located on both the first and second floors. If you have any other questions or would like to check availability for specific dates please give us a call at the number listed below.

There is a trolley stop directly across the street from Sea Mist at the Extra Mart. The Blue line consists of all Wells stops, so yes you should be able to get to the stop across the street. Hope to see you this July :)
