I wanna warn people that when you booked thru booking.com make sure when you arrived at the hotel match what you pay thru bookingcom. They will let you sign the receipt but its not the price you paid online. If people not paying attention so many will get fooled everyday.I know its only small amount of money but still,I want honesty.I explain that to the receptionist before I even sign and she told me not to worry because booking wont charge me more yet the hotel added small amount.Oh no ain't gonna happen.I checked my bank account when I came back from staying with them and they charge me more what I paid online so I demand my money back. It's not ok charging more to people when booking.com had the set amount.

The bed was hard. Our bed are much way better than theirs. The Wells beach is 1.2 miles so we walk the first day after we checked in and it is 30minutes walking.Come on now don't tell people it's 10minutes walking when it is not.Our room got AC on and everytime we are gone, comeback and we can smell weed. The next door was smoking pot.It stink. The lighting from outside was so bright at nigh time and the blinds don't do any good.Bring your own toothbrush and toothpaste as these aren't provided.Housekeepers are unfriendly. They don't have smile for the world.

their wifi was good.I enjoyed using it as I got tons of pictures that I uploaded

We did enjoy our time at Wells specilaly going to eat to resto and tried different sea foods.

Was a bit concerned as we pulled in as on the "back side" of the main building there were some guests gathering, smoking cigarettes and weed and playing music. Check in was easy however our room key didn't work. Called front desk and clerk came over and took care of it. We stayed in room 501 in the annex and we were very happy that it was on the 2nd (top) floor but it faced the main building which had a bright light (closed blinds and that helped). Couldn't really enjoy the little balcony as a guy in the main building was smoking up a storm and sadly could smell it. The rooms are no smoking but there were alot of people smoking on the balcony. I will say that we were pleasantly surprised with how nice our room was. Smelled clean (and was very clean) and the bed was nice and firm. Happy to have a K-Cup Keurig, fridge and microwave. A/C unit was icy cold and loved that you can run the fan all night for white noise. Price was reasonable too. We usually stay down the street but couldn't justify the rates for this time of the year. USA Inn was half the price.

We’ve been going to the USA for decades. It was getting dated and run down, and after this trip we were planning a change. This year we were thrilled to see the room was painted, the old carpet was replaced with wood laminate, and there was new furniture, comfortable new beds, a new TV with lots more channels and a new refrigerator. Updated air conditioners were starting to be installed in other rooms during our visit. The old blinds in the room were replaced with a nice, room darkening, pull down shade. Some cosmetic issues still need fixing, but they were minor. Better grab bars still need to be placed in the tub/shower. This place is so conveniently located just minutes from York & Ogunquit to the south and Kennebunkport to the north. The restaurants in the area are fantastic and we could walk to Horizons, our favorite breakfast place. Wells Beach is just a mile down the road, and the Ogunquit Playhouse is 30” away. The prices at the USA are great and the service people are sweet and oh so helpful. So pleased that we gave the inn another chance. We won’t be looking to stay anywhere else next year.

Do you like ants? Big black ones? Little black ones? Then this is the hotel for you! Spend the night chasing ants off your toddler. Wanna eat a pizza? Local seacost pizza is great. The ants give it 3 phlanges up!

Don't worry about the broken door frame. Just because it looks like it was repaired by a drunken monkey, doesn't mean it was kicked in by said drunken monkey.

The bathroom fan was installed in the early 30s and sounds original. The caulking around the tub was most likely added sometime in the 70s. And the shower head is straight out of a 1980s hospital.

The walls appear to be made from paper mache. It's always nice to hear what your neighbour's are doing.

All in all. If you're looking for a last minute place to sleep, and the tent park is full. This is a good deal.

The USA Inn has a good location and looks very nice from the outside. The condition of the room we stayed in is shameful, especially for the rate charged which was in excess of $200.00 per night. The beds are uncomfortable. The pillows are misshapen and obviously old. The linens are also ancient. There were not enough towels in the room and we had to go in search of staff to locate more. The bathroom is miniature in size. The baseboards in the room were in total disrepair. The sink was in a wooden structure sitting on a filthy rug. There are rust stains in the tub and the tub leaked. The room has wi-fi, but not a USB port to be seen in the room. Two small slivers of soap per room, and two paper cups. There was a hole in the ice bucket. At 3 pm on the first day, the linens still had not been changed nor the trash picked up....and we had to place the trash outside to be picked up. The rooms were cleaned "only by request" vs housekeeping coming into the room to make the beds. What a joke. Never again in a million years.

Horrible experience! The owner and staff do not care about the guests at this location. The front desk staff are rude and unwilling to help you. Spent nearly 2000$ on an 8 night stay. Room was cleaned ONCE the entire trip, the day before we checked out AFTER we complained about terrible housekeeping multiple times. Had to get our own towels and toilet paper. Take our own trash out. Wi-Fi did not work entire trip and all they had was excuses about pre existing problems (water leaking on the electrical equipment in the main building). When you try to get the problem resolved they only want to blame other staff members and the owner. We booked in the annex which is their premium rooms. Screws are sticking out of the wall around the electrical panel. The laminate hardwood floors are creaking and lifting from water damage. Curtains to the balcony didn’t open properly. And shower head leaked all over the bathroom floor after each use making a mess. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

My wife and I were visiting the Wells, Maine area and made reservations a few weeks in advance. We were greeted by way more than needed texts and emails about our stay. When we got to the room, we noticed we needed towels and TP. When we were exiting to go to dinner, we stopped at the office and asked for a roll of TP and 2 more towels, we were only given 2 towels. We were informed by the unpleasant office person telling us we only get one roll of TP and only get a a towel for each person staying in the room. After showing her the photo I had taken of the TP roll with nothing left on it, she huffed and puffed her way out to get another. I explained to her, two towels are necessary because I don’t want to wipe my personal areas with the same towel. When we returned to the room that night, I went to put my phone on the headboard and it was covered so much in dirt.

Everything was bad. The smell in the room with the carpets, the shower that doesn't really run but also accumulates in the bath, all the drapery in the bed is really disgusting, it's really not clean. But Especially the manager. Don't even think about having fun there - it's forbidden. He never smiles, he just looks at his cameras to watch people. When we ask for something, for example 2 extra towels because we've booked for a family of 4, he gives them without saying a word. The price is really exaggerated for the whole hotel....never go there.

This hotel used to be an amazing value. Clean, comfortable and friendly. The new owners have let this place go and now it is no better than a dump hotel you find off the highway. The beds are rock hard, the clientele staying there are rowdy especially the boarders. The place wreaks of pot and when management was notified of this they simply said its private property and they cannot do anything about it. Rude staff and an owner who clearly was running this as a side business. Overall NEVER returning here again, you can get much more room for a little bit in the area.

Wife and I wanted a nice getway vacation for a few days at a nice hotel. Prices outrageous in Wells so we picked the cheaper price at $194 a night at USA INN. Well..it's a USA OUT. We got 'The King room'..here's all the reasons to stay away from this place.

Overpriced room for what you get..a bed, small tv, outdated AC, a child size bathroom, minifridge and tiny microwave.

As soon as we walked in we could smell it..gross.

Problems:
Light not plugged in..only available plug was behind the bed. Unsafe uncovered outlet.

Front desk lady not polite at all..did say to hang "do not disturb' sign on door if you don't want housekeeping. We hung it up, gone for half the day..returned to room..they had entered the room anyways. How dumb.

Towel: my shower towel had a huge hole in it..really!!?? $194 a night and they can't afford a new towel?

Ceiling:
Weird sticky plastic things stuck all over the ceiling above the bed..what the hell??

The whole place needs a rehab. Stay away..we wished we had.
