Hotel is well located at the end of the Mile Road, next to CVS and across from the grocery store plaza. Staff was very friendly and helpful, and the room was immaculate. With covid precautions, we felt completely safe and not over burden. Plenty of sanitizer at various locations, room service was request only, and there was a process to exchange towels and get other toiletries dropped off. The room was minimalist with only a remote and phone to eliminate touchable surfaces. Breakfast was grab and go. We did not use, but heard the pool and hot tub was reservation only. Plenty of parking. You can miss with this property.

Every aspect is covered here. Genuinely friendly staff. We arrived after 1:00 am, and the clerk on duty was as kind as could be. Of all the hotels that we've stayed at that offer free cookies, this is the only one where the desk manager has actually offered them to us. Our room was so refreshing. Spacious, bright, crisp, clean. Comfortable beds, fridge, microwave, and even a basket of coffee for two, decaf and regular, plus a package of microwave popcorn! A large TV with a surprising number of channels. A coat rack? Wow. Plenty of fresh, clean towels in the bathroom. In the bathroom we found the usual bottles of shampoo, conditioner, body wash, but also assorted lotions and mouthwash. They've thought of everything. A store downstairs in case you need something, but don't want to go out. There's a business room on the first floor, and a bright, clean pool and hot tub. This Inn's breakfast is the best we've ever had in the U.S., and we've visited every state over the decades. Western omelettes that were out of this world, French toast sticks, hand cut fresh fruit. Hand-pressed juices (I chose strawberry banana) blueberry waffles, oatmeal, breads, rolls, muffins, milk, juice, yogurt, sausages, cereal, milk, coffee, tea, fresh fruits such as bananas, hard boiled eggs, and a lot more, and it all tasted SO good. Fresh and super delicious. The staff was always at work cleaning, tending to clients, taking care of business. No one just hanging around. Very purposeful staff members. Conveniently located to restaurants, stores, and attractions. Plenty of parking. If we return before our house is purchased, we'll stay here, and we've already recommended it to local realtors, and family.

I just stayed here with my bestie and our four kids. On arrival, the cleanliness of the room greeted us...the air smelled fresh and clean and the level of detail to sanitizing was noticeable. Dani was always pleasant and helpful when needed. Daily breakfast and indoor swimming/ hot tub were great extras for our group to start and end the days. We were well taken care of during our stay, supplied with fresh linens/towels and the hotel's location is within short proximity to many beaches, popular sights, food and shopping. We'll definitely stay here again.

Room was very clean, the breakfast options were great, and we felt very comfortable staying their during Covid. Checkin was quick. All guests and staff were wearing masks the whole time. The hotel provides bags to hang outside your room if you want towels and linens cleaned so you don't have to have housekeeping come into your room during your stay.

We had a wonderful 5 night stay from 6/6 to 6/11. There was a slight glitch re: our reservation when we arrived but the Asst Mgr..Cathy behind the desk quickly corrected it and followed up with us each day to insure all was ok. She is an excellent representative of Hampton (Hilton) and should be commended for her hard work and making guests feel comfortable...It was a pleasure dealing with her. The hostess in charge of the daily breakfast was magnificent.....Diane.. who kept the area immaculate at all times and served delicious food.. She also gave us great tips on places to visit. We will definitely return to this fine hotel and recommend it to all staying in Maine. The maid service was excellent and they followed Covid regs perfectly by picking up our used towels at the door each morning and replacing them in sanitary bags along with any toiletries we needed.

My wife and I had multiple problems with this Hampton. Apparently, the franchise was sold to new ownership and when we reported our problems to Hilton (the franchisor) they didn't want to discuss any of it with them or me. The floor in the bath of the room we stayed in was dirty with tile mastic from when they remodeled 2 years ago! The A/C unit was right up against the bed closest to the window so keeping the room comfortable was impossible and that bed left me and my wife with back pain the next day. You can't get maid service the first night your there because they need a 24 hour lead time and if you check in at 4pm , too bad . Upon leaving there was just a basket that said "KEYS HERE" We had stayed at this Hampton at least 25 times over the years and always thought it was the best. Now we will probably look for another nearby when we travel to the area. There are plenty in the area that would be happy to take our money and act like real innkeepers. Ignore all the old rave reviews including mine as the new management doesn't come close to the service of the old.

Dear K7921WMJohnm, We are all so sorry to see that you did not have a positive experience with us compared to your previous stays. We are the same owners since this place was built but we did go through a complete Hilton Refresh and renovated all our rooms in 2019. We are not aware you had issues during your stay and sorry that Hilton did not respond to your satisfaction. We are sorry you did not like the position of the cooling units in our newly renovated rooms. We have not experience this as an issue before but we do have rooms where the units are in other locations and always happy to move guests to another room if we can. We take the Covid protocols and Hilton Clean Stay System very seriously in order to keep our guests and staff as safe as we can as we navigate our way through and out of this pandemic. We do not enter a guest room unless the guest requests us to do so out of respect for their safety concerns. We can usually schedule services at check in, however late it is, for the following day. As part of the Safety Protocols we still have wipes and sanitizers around the property and we leave a basket out for used pens and key cards so we can sanitize them before re-using. We are sorry that this service came across as a negative to you. That is not our intention. We do hope that you might consider giving us another try once we can get back to Pre - pandemic services

Overall we had a very nice day at this location. While we did encounter some issues with the cleanliness of our room, and we had to move our room twice until we found a room that was disinfected appropriately, the service from David at the front desk was outstanding and he helped to accommodate everything that we needed. Our first big trip out at the end of the Covid pandemic and we really expected things to be a little bit more in order. I think the housekeeping department needs some help in learning how to properly disinfect and clean a space. Whoever was in charge of the breakfast did an excellent job and we were pleased with that!

Ok so apparently this place is 2.5 stars? I don’t get it. Our room was one of the largest I’ve ever stayed at, and I’ve been to 61 countries. It was immaculately clean and I didn’t even need to check in since I was able to check in via phone and the phone was the door key. Normally this is gimmicky but worked without a hitch.
We enjoyed our stay. Breakfast was also the most premium ‘basic’ breakfast I’ve had. The hotel interior looks very updated and fancy which again, confuses me about the 2.5 star rating.
I lost my headphones and the staff quickly sent the back to me. Even though we didn’t need to interact with any staff due to the auto checkin/checkout the few times we did they went out of their way to be helpful. Not sure how much of this is a Maine thing or a Hilton thing, either way I was impressed!

This was a really good weekend stay. Close to restaurants and convenience stores. CVS right next door and supermarket half block across the street. Within 30 Minutes of Ogunquit, York and Kittery. Good hot breakfast, pleasant welcoming staff. Very clean but AC and heat didn’t function to desired comfort. It was as if we had no control. Housekeeping always gave us a very pleasant greeting and accommodated our needs very timely. There was a young talk young lady with red hair that we saw working very diligently in many different areas of the hotel but always took the time when she saw us to give us a pleasant greeting. We saw her at breakfast, in the pool area and in the corridors and always took the time to give us a warm hello. This stay was very strategic to everything and very pleasant.

It’s a 55-minute walk from the Amtrak station to the Hampton Inn. From the inn, you can walk to the beach, a good local breakfast spot, a good ice cream shop, and several restaurants. So, yes you can enjoy Wells and Ogunquit without a car.
