We reserved cottage #9 which is a 2 floor, 2 bedroom cottage with a full kitchen. We were excited to have bedrooms so my daughers and I could have some space. The full kitchen was great for cooking in. Restaurant lines are LONG in S. Maine since Covid and the workforce crisis began, so cooking in room is essential. Owners quickly responded to minor issues we had with the oven, the smoke detector and the need for a corkscrew. The cottage was clean with a pleasant scent. Beds were very comfortable. Bathrooms were fine--downstairs one was spacious. Little 'back yard' behind the unit was a plus. We used the hot tub even though it was October and this was fun! As stated by other guests, it is a great location for getting around to local restaurants and shops. This was our second stay at Carriage House and we were equally pleased this second time.…
The owners were so sweet and helpful. This was a wonderful base during our time in the Kennebunkport area and close distance to the airport via toll road. The rooms were clean and well-maintained. We were not in the room much but it was enjoyable and would definitely stay again and recommend to friends.
Stayed here for 2 nights. Check in staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Room was very large, clean and looked as advertised. Near route 1 which is a busy road, but the rooms were quiet. Would stay here again.
This was our second time staying and we will continue to come back. The rooms are cozy and clean, like a home away from home; most rooms offer a small refrigerator and sink. The owners are very helpful and accommodating. This place is only a short distance from the outlets and centrally located to several antique shops. You can also find several places to eat within a short drive.
Been going to the Carriage House almost annually for over a decade. Owners Bob and Sally run an immaculate, well-maintained small resort with a mix of room types at reasonable prices.. If you have a family, cabin 8 has just been renovated and it has a full kitchen. The pool is uncrowded and there are games and a lovely play area for the kids. Great location between Kennebunk and Ogunquit and right along the Trolley line.
Me and my boyfriend stayed at the Carriage House Motel for 2 nights. The room was well equipped and clean. Bob and Sally was really nice and warm. They even prepare our room before our late arrival. The only negative was the air conditioning was noisy and kept us awake. I recommend this place for a short visit. The beach was near the motel and trains often drove past the motel to Ogunquit.
My daughter and I had a wonderful long weekend stay at this excellent establishment . We stayed on the 3rd floor suite. It is the whole top floor consisting of 2 clean ,pretty bedrooms , a kitchen dining area and a small but full bathroom( shower only, sink and toilet ). The bathroom , kitchen and bathroom had nice light from skylights and the kitchen was fully stocked with dishes ,cutlery , pans , glasses , microwave, toaster, coffeepot . Very clean throughout and run by a very nice accommodating couple. Price was very reasonable .
My mother and her husband, who now live in Florida, love coastal Maine. They chose this location for a family reunion. The owners were super helpful and super accommodating to my family. At the peak, we had a total of 5 rooms or cottages. My immediate family had one of the larger cottages which worked out great for 4 of us. And we were able to use the large yard when on Sunday even more family members arrived for the afternoon. Again, the owners could not have been more accommodating as it related to the extra people, cars, etc. I would have liked to have rated this place higher for the reasons stated above, but the cottages need maintenance. My sister's cottage had a mold issue. And even though they are surface cleaned, the cottages need a more thorough cleaning. My bedding smelled funky. Tried switching the pillow, but still could not get rid of the smell. Overall it was a good stay.…
My new wife and I came up here for the first week of our Honeymoon and used it for the base of our adventures. We got a cabin for a week, and while it was smaller than we expected (The queen bed nearly takes up the entire bedroom space), the cabins still have everything you truly need. Bathroom, Widescreen TV (with cable), small kitchen. Plus the property has a hot tub that is operational most nights. The pool is small, but good for soaking. This place was hopping on the weekends, but was nearly deserted during the week days. It's run by a wife and husband, and considering that, it's well maintained. Thank you for a lovely week.
We have stayed here several times before. Owners are always friendly and accommodating. This time had second floor room, very nice and clean. Rates are very reasonable for this area. Conveniently located for day trips to Freeport and Kittery Maine as well as seafood festival @ Hampton Beach NH.
