We needed a couple nights to do hiking in the Bigelow Range and the Spillover was the perfect fit. Location near to the trailhead and having the refrigerator & microwave in the room helped immensely. We were able to make breakfast before heading out at 5:30am & reheat our dinner the second night. The continental breakfast started at 6:30 am & went to 11am - which is great for most folks and we did enjoy that the second day. Room was clean & reasonable priced, bed comfortable and we had everything we needed. I left my cell phone charger in the room by accident and the staff has agreed to mail it back to me. We will be doing more trips to the area and will be staying here again.
The beds were comfy and the room was super clean They have a small farm out back It was nice to hear the rooster crow in the morning Staff was friendly and the coffee was great! Dogs are welcome too!!
This was our first time staying at the Spillover Motel, but it won't be our last. We loved it! It was an easy drive from the mountain, super clean spacious rooms (I even had room to spread out my yoga mat for some pre-and post ski stretch sessions), really friendly staff and reasonably priced. What more could anyone want? We had a fridge and microwave in our room, so we brought all of our own food (saved a bunch of money). The communal kitchen was well set up for cooking (breakfast ingredients available, too), as well as for meeting a couple of other guests. The motel was quiet (even though it was completely filled the weekend that we were there). We'll definitely be back!
Second visit. Convenient to sugarloaf, direct access to snowmobile trail, always clean room with great water pressure and lots of hot water. Nice community kitchen available should you bring food to cook.
Clean, comfortable room, 2 double beds and roomier than expected. Close to very nice restaurant, literally across the parking lot!, small village with general store another restaurant, gas etc. only 8 miles from Sugarloaf and reasonable priced . Lisa was very helpful when booking the room, and even more accomodating when we checked in. As others have mentioned, Separate communal kitchen and dining area with breakfast basics provided was an added bonus. If we were with friends and wanted to get out of the bedroom, also a communal living area, with flat screen tv. Will plan a spring ski trip to the Loaf and hope to stay here again!!
This is a friendly and conveniently located motel that's perfect for Sugarloaf skiers and snowmobilers. The rooms are large. Beds are firm, but comfortable. They have a full fridge, stove, microwave, and kitchen/dining/lounge area stocked with dishes, utensils, and breakfast makings (eggs, bacon, milk, English muffins) available for self-serve, as well as coffee and pastries served in the mornings.
Yes it's a motel but we were pleasantly surprised. The rooms are bigger than most hotel/motel rooms. We stayed with our teenage son to ski. There was space to spread all our ski stuff out and be comfortable. The staff is wonderful, accommodating, and friendly. Zero complaints here. Thanks Spillover for a nice weekend. Would stay again!
This comfortable and clean motel was the perfect spot for our family to stay for a few nights. Close to trails and ski centers. Great restaurant next door and convenient kitchen at facility for stay-in-place pizzas, etc.
I stayed here for two nights as I was grabbing some peaks for the NEHH. The bed was so comfy and warm! Electric fireplace was awesome after a long day on the trail. Hot water was plentiful! The check in and staff were wonderful, the best part was the kitchen with eggs and English muffins, I was able to make myself a hot breakfast both mornings before hitting the trail. I will definitely stay here again!
Comfortable room and a fantastic shower. Lots of high pressure hot water - just the thing you need after a long day. The people were nice too. There's a continental breakfast at the front office, but there's also a shared kitchen where you can cook your own if you prefer. I would definitely stay here again.
