I own a tent but am not really a camper. I'm considering becoming one after my trip to Searsport Shores. The location in Maine is very nice and they have oceanfront sites. Kids seemed to love the playground and there was a nice game room. Shower and bathroom were very clean. One warning -- know the size of your tent...

We absolutely loved the premium ocean site. It is by far the most we have ever spent to camp. The last two ocean sites for trailers are really close together and the balconies almost face each other so I would avoid those two. The tent sites were nice and some had some good privacy and right on the ocean. The...

This is a lovely campground on the water. It is a little pricey but one of the nicest places we have stayed. Quiet, very very clean, lovely people, lots to do, beautiful grounds. We walked the forested path, the beach, and biked around the property. We met some really lovely people, many of whom stay there for a month at...

This campground is one of the best campgrounds our family has stayed at, and we do a lot of camping. From a pet friendly atmosphere and the really nice staff, we had an amazing trip. We tent camped out on a little peninsula where we had to put our stuff in a wagon and walk .1 of a mile to...

Upon check-in we initially were assigned site 20 and were offered to check out other available sites. It was fun looking at the other sites but we stuck with site 20 which was perfect! Camping with an almost 4 year old we were worried. Everyone is friendly and the playground with animals nearby kept our son busy! Just enough trees...

Our family stayed at SSOC for the first time after having previously camped in Acadia. We were pleasantly surprised by the beautiful views from our oceanside site, cleanliness of the grounds, and kid friendly amenities (playground, nature trails, goats and gardens). The owners and staff were very friendly and provided info on local day activities in the area. Sign up...

Family of 4, with a 10 yr old son and 6 yr old daughter. We had reservations at a different campgrounds for a 5 night stay. We arrived and found a disaster - dingy and dark cabin, no privacy, and right next to the playground and concert area. We arrived and we're tired and tried to make things work, but...

We arrived here last minute on a Friday night in August. While we obviously were not able to get on the water, we were given a site. When we realized it was right next to the store, the ladies at the desk cheerfully gave us some others to choose from. The place is ultra clean, quiet, and the people running...

We had a great time and spent nearly a week with SSOC, found the staff to be great. At no point did they under deliver. We attended the Saturday Lobster bake and had a blast! If we're in the area again, we'd stay with them.
