Our recent three-night stay at the Country Inn in Rockport was nothing short of excellent. This was our third time staying at this location, but the first time for our furry child. From the charming cottage to the delightful pet-friendly atmosphere, our experience was truly unforgettable. My fiancé and I and our four-legged furry child couldn't have asked for a better retreat. The cottage we stayed in was an absolute gem. Tastefully decorated and impeccably clean, it felt like a home away from home. The attention to detail in the decor and amenities made our stay comfortable and cozy. It's a place where you can truly relax, enjoy quality time with your loved ones (including the four-legged variety), and appreciate the natural beauty of the Rockport and Camden area. We couldn't recommend it more, and we're already planning our return. Thank you, Country Inn, for making our stay so wonderful!
We look forward to experiencing your hospitality again soon.

If you want some Maine charm but like air conditioning and other amenities, this is a place to consider. We stayed a number of nights mid week and were pleased with our visit. Front desk and breakfast staff were friendly, smiled and helpful. Our room was an unusual design with two beds, the bathroom, a mini kitchen and then a sleeper sofa. In most hotels, the bathroom is closer to the hallway. If you are sharing the room this design could be a plus.
The grounds are well kept and include much open area. A number of guests had dogs. Parking is convenient and close to the doors. Each morning they serve a light breakfast and give you a choice of items. Food was good and fresh.
The room was clean and prepared for our visit. We did not request any extra housekeeping during our visit, but did set the towels out to dry each day. They lose a star for some maintenance issues. The front door was sticking and did not close at night. Our room door needed attention and would not close without extra effort. Some furniture was dinged and needed some repair.
Overall, I would go back.

We booked a stay at the Country Inn, as a central location for exploring the area around Camden and Rockland. Breakfast was great to start our days, and relaxing in the pool and hot tub after hiking and sailing made for a great evening. The rooms are well appointed, its not the Ritz, but this is coastal Maine not the big city. We had two couples staying in a "Two Queen Suite" with plenty of room to be comfortable and not over crowded.

This hotel is in a great location and is pet friendly. The staff is very friendly and welcoming and had great suggestions for sites to see and places to eat. The pet friendly room we stayed in was clean and included canine extras (dog bed, bowl, huge biscuits and a very small towel). The room also had sliders directly out to a grassy area (which was very convenient to let our pooch out, especially later in the evening). Grounds were nicely manicured. Overall, the hotel could probably stand a little bit of a face lift (i.e. comfort height toilets and newer mattresses - ours sucked, and better air conditioning system would be a good place to start. Our room had a tiny bit of an odd kind of musty maybe very old cigarette smoke smell to it. We noticed this each time we entered the room, but got used to it once we were in there for 10 or so minutes). For the most part, the hotel was quiet, however there must've been a football team (kidding) staying above us because all we heard early in the morning were foot steps running back and forth. Certainly, this isn't the hotel's fault - and could happen in any establishment. I just wish it wasn't above our room. The breakfast is nothing to brag about and they should definitely add additional options (i.e. fresh fruit, juices other than orange, oatmeal, eggs etc.) We are planning on going back to Maine next year and could possibly stay there again, but will probably check out some other places first.

We made a last minute decision to travel to Maine. Accommodations were difficult to find. A cottage was available here and it looked very 'New England' and location was pretty good.

Cottage was clean and had what we needed. It was sort of 'tired' decor- wise. Very 70s? Bed was ok.

Breakfast was weird. Had to fill out a slip with what you wanted - didn't want anyone getting their own due to Covid. But we filled out the slip, used a pen, got our own coffee/juice, got our own syrup. Hardly no contact. Very mixed. The 2 days I went to breakfast - same sandwich. Really missed a nice breakfast.

Overall it was fine. It met our needs. Would I stay here again? Probably not.

The King/Jacuzzi, is one of the Quietest Room in the Hotel, with a balcony in back overlooking the lovely lawn and trees; Luxuriously comfortable bed and pillows, with extra pillows for additional support. The King/Jacuzzi is on a wing by itself essentially, with only staff walking past, no others. In the room, the lighting can be set for soft, or bright; the 4-cup coffee maker makes delicious coffee. No paper cups here! Real cups and drinking glasses!! Fridge and microwave and sink were clean and ready to use. The jacuzzi is large, fitting two delightfully.
Staff are superb and very genuine. We requested additional coffee, and were provided what we wanted instantly, happily. The breakfast is excellent and efficient. I wasn't sure I was going to be comfortable with covid restrictions, and while the breakfast is not the same experience as with past, open dining here, it was adequate, safe and tasty.
The Country Inn is my favorite hotel in the state of Maine. I have stayed here many times, and will continue to stay as it continues to provide quality rooms, staff and comfort.

There is nothing even remotely bad to say about this inn. It was extremely clean, comfortable, quiet and accommodating. The room was spacious with a king bed, sitting area divided by a half wall that included a pullout sofa and sink/refrigerator setup, a gas powered fireplace and a large desk. The pool area and all common areas were freshly painted with no signs of wear. We will not hesitate to stay here again in the future.

We stayed in a cottage and were very pleased. The cottage was located in the back of the property and felt very secluded. There was a separate bedroom with 2 queen beds, a bathroom and sitting area. The beds were not very comfortable, as I think they were too soft. The towels in the bathroom were thin but certainly adequate. We walked out our door and across the common area to the breakfast room. The breakfast was not the best we've ever had but was adequate. There was a waffle maker, yogurt, dry cereal, hard boiled eggs, egg sandwiches and bread for toast. The oatmeal is instant but the pumpkin muffins (not sure if those are always provided) were absolutely delicious! I would definitely return here as the location is perfect for wandering around Camden, hiking in the area and checking out local lighthouses. If you want a simple, non-pretentious experience, this place is perfect.

We stayed for 3 nights and wished it was longer. The staff was friendly, kind and accommodating. The room was immaculate which was very important to me. The room was a king with a gas fireplace. It also had a small refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker, as well as a couch, a small deck and a TV. The breakfast was wonderful and again, the staff was so accommodating!! The indoor pool and hot tub proved invaluable when it poured rain during one of our days. We were told because of COVID, we were not able to have staff come in our room to clean each day. That was the only disappointment, but we understood the situation. However, staff was very accommodating bringing us towels when needed. I highly recommend this Inn !!

We were visiting the Maine Coast, and spending three days at a time in different locations. When we arrived in Camden, the traffic in town was very heavy, and virtually nowhere to park. We were so relieved when we arrived at The Country Inn - just a minute from the town center, but with stacks of easy parking, a room that was spacious with EVERYTHING in the right place - desk, lighting, USBs, fridge, couch, etc. Very clean, and warm and friendly breakfast room made a great start to the day. Would definitely return.

How much is a king room with a hot tub in the room
Answer from Alberta S
Old Town, Maine60 contributions24 helpful votes
Sorry I can't answer that for you. We had no need for that sort of accommodation, so I didn't price it out :( They do have a hot tub in the pool area, if that's of any help.
There are. We have four designated pet rooms in the Inn as well as four cabins. Remainder are not used for pets; having said that, our desk is acutely aware of any infractions that have occurred and will be sure to place you in an appropriate space. Thanks for your question; we look forward to the possibility of your visit.
