Our group of 25+ bicyclists stayed here for our second year for a fall weekend of bicycling in the area. The RHH staff is very friendly and supportive to work with. They Gabe us a good rate for our block. Most important they were very friendly and let us use the front outdoor patio for our happy hour gathering and happily turned on the gas fire pit for us! The full breakfast was an added bonus!

Hotel's Favourite
The room we requested wasn’t available due to my error but the front desk put us in a larger room. The staff was very helpful and everything was wonderful. If our schedule had allowed it, we would have stayed longer because it was such a positive experience.

Spent two nights at Rockland Harbor Hotel with my twelve year old granddaughter. Hotel has a fantastic view of the harbor. We were in a very large two queen room with a Juliet balcony, overlooking the harbor. The front desk staff were exceptionally courteous! It was so pleasant to always see their smiling faces and receive their warm greetings. The housekeeping staff was most friendly, as well. We enjoyed a delicious full breakfast, both mornings. This hotel is right on the road, but that was not a problem. The noise came at 7:00 in the morning, as the guests were loading the tour buses. The only suggestion I would make is to replace the hall carpets. They are very worn. However, once in our room everything was in excellent condition. I would definitely recommend a stay at Rockland Harbor Hotel.

Our second multiple-night visit, excellent large 2nd floor King w/ balcony view of harbor, allowing watching coming-and-goings of travelers. Two lounge chairs in room w/ lights facilitated two readers 24/7. Discovered rear parking even better than front, w/ faster access using rear stairwell. Breakfast expansive and well-stocked by an attentive lady, allowing late-risers to still gain breakfast. Entire staff most accommodating, reassuring to see same faces. Impressed w/ full-time maintenance person on staff. End of season toll of common-area carpet indicates time for refreshing over winter season. Advisable to switch from carpet to wood material.

Well worth the visit. Does it have the best grounds? No. Is it directly on the water/harbor?? No. but it is not needed and I quickly got over the view over the parking lot. The hotel is in a great location right on route 1 north . Watching the activity on the water across the street at the busy ferry terminal is interesting and lots going on over there and you still have a great view of the harbor. We had a 4th floor room with a small balcony and that's the way to go. No restaurant/bar but has a fire pit and tables for some socialization. The hotel is at the end of main st. and close to restaurants and shops. We took the ferry to Vinalhaven one day and the proximity to the ferry terminal was convenient. The staff is very helpful. Housekeeping services were by request only ( we did not request any) and the front desk staff quickly refilled when items were needed. The breakfast was what is expected, eggs, muffins ect. No gluten free bread or muffin options though. The room and bed was comfortable, clean and looked fresh and quiet. The fridge and coffeemaker was a nice touch. We had a 2 Queen bed room and room only had 1 nightstand. Not the best set up with light and clock and charging ports only one side. My phone ended up charging on the floor. A suggestion: Another night stand or even shelf would be a good addition. Otherwise this was a great experience and home-base for coastal Maine adventure.

I brought a coach with 50 retirement aged guests and received amazing service from the staff. From porters to the general manager who met us at the coach, everyone was wonderful. Rooms were spotless and the view was stunning. Will definitely come again.

Rockland Harbor Hotel was perfect for our ten-night stay. Most importantly-their service. And we all know that’s MIA these days. RHH manages to have the friendliest and most helpful staff around. Everyone is a super ⭐️, I repeat, everyone. Alex and all the front desk staff, the pleasant housekeepers and the extraordinary TJ. He is the most detail-oriented person, goes around making sure everything is just right. And doesn’t miss a thing. The breakfast room is constantly re-supplied and cleaned. The public areas, the stairs, the laundry room, everything gleams. And that extends to the rooms. The decor is simple and tasteful. Lovely photographs on the walls. The most beautiful combination of decoration colors-blues, browns and creams. Obsessed with the beautiful blue on one of my walls. Location is unbeatable. At the very edge of Main street, very walkable and lots of parking. Laundry room for prolonged stays like ours and a small but well-equipped gym to nag my conscience.. We have two suggestions. First. The queen beds do not have a night table on one side, so I had to improvise every night for a place for my alarm clock, glass of water etc. A shelf would suffice. Second-A safe-deposit box in the room. As I said, we stayed 10 days and have nothing but praise for the Rockland Harbor Hotel. A well-run operation. We’d stay there again without thinking it twice and highly recommend it.

This is a great hotel but I was so disappointed to see (like so many hotels in this country) the degree of reliance on disposable packaging. The breakfast was a one-use plastic nightmare. I am trying to book places to stay based upon their environmental credentials. It is definitely not obligatory to serve food and drinks in throwaway containers. Especially in a state like Maine, so close to the ocean and to nature, I was really sad to see this.

My family and I stayed here for 3 nights during our recent tour of the New England region and we certainly were not disappointed. The official star rating does not do it justice. The hotel’s location is ideal, situated right in the centre of the beautiful town of Rockland and only a short drive from Camden and Damariscotta. There are a number of wonderful restaurants within walking distance. Our room, which had a small balcony overlooking Rockland harbour, was spacious and well presented, complete with all the amenities you would expect from a modern hotel. The complementary breakfast was very good, with a good selection of items on offer and attentive staff on hand who would replenish when required. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful and nothing was ever too much bother for them. We really did feel welcomed and should we ever visit the area again, we wouldn’t hesitate to stay here. Thank you for the warm welcome!

Newly refurbished We had a large room with 2 queen beds and a sofa bed (2 adults, 3 kids) + large bathroom Overlooking the Rockland harbour, restaurants and bars nearby - but watch many are not open on Monday/ Tuesday. Hotel provides free self serve breakfast which was ok. No bar or restaurant on site - but you can buy items from the reception area and use the seating areas inside/ outside. Friendly staff Good location
