Excellent accommodation by the lakeside. The cabin was spotless, very very well equipped with the quality of the kitchen utensils toward the high end. Having rented similar in Europe the standard of rental we found at Niboban far exceeded the properties standards with have experienced previously. Whilst we were here on a cold autumn break I would imagine in the summer these properties would bd at their absolute best, with the boating facilities, bbq areas great grounds.
The lakefront is beautiful and the cabins are perfect. We stayed here for a week with our two dogs. The property is very well maintained and the staff is very friendly and helpful. There is a game room with ping pong and foosball.
There isn't much that I can add to my review from last year. This year we stayed in the same cabin and we loved every minute. The loons serenaded us at night and we had spectacular weather and sunsets. We still suggest that you bring a radio, hair dryer and a fan. There is no air conditioning = this is Maine! But it can get hot. Come on up and spend a truly relaxing time recharging your batteries. We'll be back.
Although I've explored the Rangeley area in the past, this was my first stay at Niboban but hopefully not my last. The camps are located on Rangeley Lake directly adjacent to Rangeley State Park which makes for extremely peaceful and relaxing surroundings. A morning watching the mist rise from the lake followed by a day of hiking and watching the stars at night can't be beat. While exploring at night I even managed to see a female moose and her calf! The cabin was spotlessly clean and up to date with all the basic amenities provided including dinnerware, drinkware, cooking utensils, towels, etc. Groceries, restaurants and shops are nearby in Oquossoc and Rangeley. When you're in Rangeley check out the Outdoor Sporting History Museum which does an incredible job documenting the reasons Rangeley became popular. For those uninterested in hiking or canoeing, there are plenty of scenic drives in the area including the Height of Land with amazing views over Mooselookmeguntic and Quill Hill which offers a 360-degree panorama including Rangeley, Kennebago and Flagstaff Lakes and the surrounding mountains. Thanks for a delightful stay!…
This is our 3rd visit to Niboban Camps. We usually stay in the honeymoon cottage, which is lovely. This year we stayed in cabin 3; a two bedroom lakefront cabin. When we arrived, the place was clean, had a well stocked kitchen and plenty of extra pillows and blankets. We spent most of our time relaxing on the screened in porch and enjoying the lake view and calls of the loons. FYI we couldn't get connected to WIFI in the lounge so visited a downtown Internet Cafe to reconnect.
I absolutely loved this place. I can't imagine a better vacation. Gorgeous scenery, perfectly equipped and well maintained cabins. They are spread apart on beautiful property facing very clean lake and beautiful mountains in the distance. I have never felt so happy or relaxed. Will be back most definitely. Perry was a wonderful host and people working the grounds friendly and helpful. Loved the hummingbird feeders outside each screen porch. And the loons. Just beautiful.
Can't wait to go back! Did not want to leave. Heaven on earth. Just the amount of privacy you need with all the amenities. Such a beautiful place! Highly recommend. Lake so clear and pristine. Cabins like new and spotless.
About ten years ago our children said, "when can we go back to Rangely and Niboban" after a vacation elsewhere. The cabins at Niboban are really well done. The services are excellent, the staff are friendly and welcoming. We truly enjoy just sitting by the lake and watching the clouds change, reading and sleeping, going for walks and our campfires by the lake at night. The colors of a sunset are spectacular. A wonderful aspect of Rangeley Lake is how little it's changed over the twenty years we've been coming.
My husband and I stayed with our two dogs in Cabin #10. Spacious, clean, situated right on the lake. We hiked every day, kayaked, canoed. Really can't imagine a better place to spend our vacation. Great people in the cabins near us.
I stayed here for a week in August with my 23 year old son and our two dogs. We had a wonderful time. The cabins were in very nice condition. The camp owner, Perry, was very friendly and welcoming. The lake was beautiful. We rented a pontoon boat for the week from Saddleback Marina and drove it from the marina and kept it tied up at the Niboban dock. The cabin had a stove, refrigerator, microwave, kitchen sink and a full bathroom. There were two bedrooms. The cabin was well maintained and everything works. It was also very clean. I hope we will return sometime. The Internet did not work very well but apparently there is a plan to upgrade the whole camp.
