For the price our rooms were great. The location is easy to find just off the exit. Our adult kids enjoyed using the pool and hot tub after we had dinner at the Volcano Bar and Grill, where the food was exceptional. I would recommend the French dip. We had the bonus of enjoying a local rock band which started at 7:00 and had a fun set list which the older crowd in the bar were dancing to. We hung around after dinner to enjoy the free entertainment. We ate breakfast at Stacks which had everything you could imagine for breakfast combos. It's nice to be able to enjoy a stay without having to travel out to find good food at a reasonable price. We will stay here again when we take a weekend getaway. I shopped around when planning this trip and this was by far the best price I found at a large national chain hotel. We could afford to pay more but why waste the money if you don't need to.

The staff were all nice pool and hot tubs were clean no towels though. I had bring mine from my room. They say there’s towels in there but there isn’t. I stayed in room 306. My daughter is cheering competition was the next day. The room had a funny smell to it, kinda like old cigar smell it wasn’t very strong. The room itself was very clean. The bathroom kinda had me worried because there were red spots which appeared to be blood splatter in various spots in the bathroom on the backside of the door. There was a spot that looked like that was tried to scrub out and they didn’t do a good job, there was a small balcony attached to that room. There was red spots all over the curtain to go outside on the balcony. As the night went on me and my daughter didn’t feel very well. I didn’t really think anything of it the next day halfway through the day at the competition we started to feel better. It was just a weird experience was reported to Staff as well. I was told that it was possible paint, but I don’t know why there would be red paint in a room that didn’t have red walls.

Thank You to the fine staff at Ramada Plaza. I do have my walking wheelchair. They have been always accomodating with the handicap acces room and shower. I habe a wheeling walker. The facility is very active in the morning and is nice to see all the friendly vibes from the staff .Our daughter lives nearby, hence the visits. Her guest room is now the baby nursery coming in June 2024. We'll be back

Love the cost, the overall look and comfort, the indoor pool and hot tub are a plus, the to places to eat onsite are awesome. My nephew wanted to stay in a hotel with a pool for his birthday because he doesn't get to travel much. He was beyond excited that our room had a balcony.

The hotel room needed some work, there was a broken wall in the bathroom. The lobby was very nice compared to the halls and rooms but for the price I wasn’t expecting anything elaborate. The tub in our room had jets though which was a happy surprise. I would say the best part of the stay is the restaurants that are connected to the hotel. It was so convenient and yummy. I don’t recommend the pizza though…..it was BAD.

Response from Mark Heisler, General Manager at Ramada Plaza by Wyndham Portland
Responded 6 Feb 2024
I understand that you wouldn’t be happy with our front desk staff since they had to track you down for payment and eventually had to ask you to leave as a result of not paying in anything close to a timely manner. When adding nights to your stay at a hotel, it is common practice to pay for your room prior to noon – this was communicated to you on multiple occasions. Had you done so, this situation would not have happened.

We settled in this hotel with our last money. We spent one night here. But we booked this hotel for a few days.from January 12 to January 15. We were with dogs. Three little chihuahuas. We went to walk them. One guy showed up there and we told him to be careful. This red dog can bite you. But he didn’t listen, he went straight to the dogs. After our dog slightly bit him, he went to the front desk and complained to them. He also said he wants to see rabies vaccinations. We brought it to him and showed him that everything is fine with our dogs and there are no diseases. He said he didn't want any police and just wanted to make sure of that. He was also drunk, he walked around with a bottle of very strong alcohol. With all this, he said that he would shoot our dogs and me and my husband. He said this was when his dog bit him, and he also said this was in front of the reception staff. The girl who called Alisha said that yes, she heard it. We called the police. When the police arrived, this girl began to tell the other person that she had not heard anything. And that she only wanted us to get away from each other so that some kind of fight wouldn’t happen. Then I asked to show the video from the surveillance camera. They said the CCTV camera was not working. Then they started saying that they were showing without sound. And that I have no right to request such records from them, I said, Well, the police are in front of you. The police most likely did not want to get involved with this and they simply hushed up the matter. They just said you need to go to your room and pack your things. They also said that they would not refund us the money for the remaining nights. They also congratulated me on my birthday mockingly. I asked to call the general manager. They said it was his day off and he wouldn't be here until Monday. Despite the fact that this guy was walking around with a bottle of alcohol, he got away with it and we were to blame. Although, we warned him, don’t go near dogs. Even though the dogs were on a leash, He still approached the dogs and one of them bit him. The hotel staff just threw mud at us. So I want to say that the people working there are very rude and terrible. Please don't go to this hotel, there are many other hotels nearby. No one has ever kicked me out of other hotels and I have never had any problems. These people just wanted something spicier. Especially They were very happy to congratulate me on my birthday by giving Me such a gift of a kick in the ass.

Response from Mark Heisler, General Manager at Ramada Plaza by Wyndham Portland
Responded 15 Jan 2024
This was an entirely avoidable situation on your part. Having control over your dog would have prevented it. Not getting into an argument with the person who was bitten by your dog would have been a good idea that would have kept the situation from escalating the way it did. Finally, throwing things at our staff member was completely unacceptable. As you were made aware of by the police when they removed you, you are no longer allowed on the property and are fortunate that our staff member did not want to press assault charges against you.

We have stayed at the Ramada many times and are always pleased. The staff are helpful and friendly, and the rooms are spacious and clean. The pool is particularly nice. The hotel is handy to the turnpike and airport.

The huge benefit we appreciated was having a sliding glass door from our room to the grass to allow our dog to relieve himself. Room is clean and roomy. Beds are comfy. Pool is heated. Hot tub was meh. Jets were weak and the water didn’t smell clean.
