My daughter and I stayed at the West End Inn for a weekend in April. The weather did not cooperate, but the Inn was delightful. It is in the middle of an older neighborhood. Deb greeted us warmly and showed us to our room. The breakfasts were spectacular--Maine blueberry pancakes, omelettes, juicer juice or fruit salad, homemade maple syrup. We...

My girlfriend and I stayed at West End Inn for a long Portland weekend, and this beautiful B&B far exceeded our expectations. It's situated in the beautiful and quiet West End neighborhood, yet within walking distance of all of the highlights in Portland. We parked our car when we arrived and didn't have to get in it again until after...

The innkeepers were so kind, helpful, and accommodating. We stayed for 2 nights in late March, so it was less hectic and busy - exactly what we wanted. I had flowers for my girlfriend delivered to the inn a day before our arrival (we arrived on Sunday and the florist was closed). So, Deb held them for me and helped...

What a charming place to stay as we explored Portland on a mother/daughter weekend escape. We woke to tasty smells each morning in this quiet neighborhood after a comfy night's sleep, ate the delicious Maine-inspired breakfasts, and spent the day exploring Portland's lively food and art scene. West End owners gave us great tips on restaurants and were super helpful...

The West Inn is located in an entirely Victorian neighborhood, and for architecture buffs, it is a wonderful place for a walking tour. The inn itself is beautifully decorated with Victorian charm without its typical over-the-top guadiness. Our room was elegant with a huge soft bed, several pillows, and a deep soaking tub. I went downstairs for a very late...

Visited Portland for the first time since childhood, and I was not disappointed. The stay at the West End Inn was a truly lovely experience. You can tell that this is a labor of love for Deb and Scott (the innkeepers). The decor, food, and attention to detail were all superb. They instantly make you feel comfortable, and the 19th...

We stayed two nights at this B&B. Although the room was on the smallish side, the four-post bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was large and the shower good. I spent the most time with Deb, the proprietress since it seemed that Scott did most of the cooking. One night we were the only ones there, but that didn't stop...

Very pleasant overnight on a cold, January weekend. Great breakfast, clean comfortable room. Historic 19th century building with very pleasant decor. We were within walking distance of several good restaurants, which is handy.
