This was our first B. & B. experience in over 30 years, and are happy to report that thanks to all of you at the Inn On Carleton, we enjoyed a wonderful stay. We stayed way up on the top floor in room#6, and Buddy was a good sport in hauling my heavy luggage all the way to the top!...

The Inn on Carleton is a very professional yet homey and very attractive B&B. We would certainly return the next time wer'e in Portland. Buddy and his staff know what they're doing. Upon our arrival were very helpful in giving us a map of the city and showing us how to walk around. The Inn is well-situated in the West...

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights for a post-baby get-away without the kids. It was much needed and well spent at the Inn on Carleton. The breakfasts were gourmet and delicious and the Innkeepers friendly, welcoming, pay attention to detail and attend to their guests like nothing pleases them more to assure they have a nice time....

Excellent location, large rooms, nice breakfast, nice innkeepers. Room had a ceiling fan so we didn't need AC. Off-street parking was great and we didn't have to move the car, since the inn was walking distance to everything Portland has to offer.

The staff was really helpful, the inn was nice and the breakfast was great. The bed was comfortable and room was big. The only thing I would note is some details were missed such as door in the bathroom was cheap home depot door vs wood with cheap knob. With an amazing house with wood over sized doors and incredible...

Dear Sir, Thanks for the response on tripadvisor. We are glad you enjoyed the service and of course we take great pride in our beakfast here at the Inn. But not happy about the door & door knob. Yes the inn was built in 1869, however I put in ALL brand new bathrooms over the past few years and the...

After a very long (+12hrs) day of travel I arrived in the late evening welcomed by the smell of warm brownies. My room was clean and cute with a large bed piled with pillows that made me smile from ear to ear. This is a great little B&B with lots of character down to even the little details. The staff...

This is our third visit to the Inn and we look forward to returning next year. The accomodations are wonderful and the hosts are wonderful as well. We couldn't ask for better service and delicious breakfasts. We were treated as family. A delightful stay. Gail and Brad Hull

We finished our 10 days in Maine with a 2 night stay at the Inn on Carleton. The location was great - surrounded by wonderful restaurants - and easy walk to the sites. Room 4 was an adequate size and had a great bathroom with small soaking tub. While there was an AC unit, it was very loud so we...

This is what you expect a B&B to be like! The innkeepers are amazingly friendly and took care of our every need. They helped making dinner reservations for us one night. They worked around our dietary needs. They gave us suggestions to help plan our day and had great conversation over breakfast. Breakfast was delicious with a good variety. The...
