The Danforth is the grande dame of the Portland, Maine boutique hotel scene. Built in the 1800's, extensive renovations to design and (mostly) new bathrooms have married historic gentility with classic but contemporary stylings. Basement billiard room, a widow's walk with views, three course breakfasts - who could ask for more? A recent review called The Danforth an historic mansion with a hip vibe.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Danforth Inn. The inn features 19th century charm with the comforts of today. Location could not be better for exploring historical sections of Portland and access to top restaurants. Breakfast is outstanding. Most of all, atte

My husband and I had a great experience at the Danforth. The decor was an interesting eclectic mix of contemporary furnishings with an international vibe set in a historic mansion. Having a fireplace in the room to add to the atmosphere was a bonus .The staff were very attentive.

The Danworth is a renovated 175-year old facility in West Portland - walkable to the historic and port districts. The common area and room that we stayed in (Longfellow) were beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The staff was universally gracious and helpful. The welcom

Has the new small restaurant at the Danforth Inn Opened? OR When will it open and can we see a menu? What is its name?
They told us it would be open around July 1, so recommend you reach out to them. They were in full construction mode when we were there.

Hi, I loved your hotel. Just wondering whether you have suites or what kind of rooms could accomodate us (2 adults, 1 teenager 15 years old). We are planning to stay October 18-19, one night for 3 people. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance for your attention!
We recently stayed at The Danforth and one of the reasons we did was that you could see each room on line and read a description. Our room matched exactly what we had read. The website is very accurate and the hotel staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Enjoy your stay!

Hello, Do you have availability for two nights, August 22 and 23rd? Thanks, Ruth
You would have to check directly with the hotel. I was only a guest there myself.
