We've always had great luck with Hampton Inns and the Oxford location is no exception. This is a fairly new hotel, so maybe that helps, but still, everything about this place is superb. The location is about 5 mi. south of the town proper, close enough for easy access by car (unfortunately, other ways of getting into town aren't as easy, but they're doable!). It's just on the other side of a new "family" style complex with bowling and a few actually decent, kid-friendly restaurants. Oxford residents seem to enjoy taking the kids there. It also sits next to the town's soccer stadium, and although the team is a smaller, minor-league style one, you might be careful to check for game days, which probably are manageable but will have a lot of traffic for a few hours. Otherwise the location is idyllic, with lots of green, a few parks, and lack of bustle. It almost feels like a little country retreat. Despite these other attractions, the hotel sits around the corner from them, and we never heard a peep or had any crowd issues, even with our stay during midterm school break. Ample parking (some in the rear). The views out the windows aren't terrific (especially if you get the side facing the back of the family complex), but who cares. The front hotel views are greener FWIW. The desk staff was exceptionally polite and helpful. The breakfasts are frankly fantastic for a hotel of this caliber - hot stuff (eggs, pancakes, toast etc.), cereals, juices, even little breakfast desserts in a buffet style. They are VERY well-cooked and we were frankly surprised at the quality, even for a Hampton. You will love their breakfasts. We also had a pizza which was very good - they have several order-able room service type items most of the day. Otherwise, the quality was Hampton good - the cleanest hotel bathroom I might have ever been in, a spacious if not ornate room, well-appointed with great new TV and plenty of hookups. The beds were comfortable and the pillows decent. We had a little fold-out bed/sofa which was a welcome item to sit on besides the bed. Our stay was at least what we expected from a Hampton and those expectations were met - and exceeded by their amazing breakfast. Loved our stay there, will do so again if heading to Oxford!…
Great stay! Booked it last minute during a family road trip. Hotel is nice and clean. Rooms are spacious, modern and comfortable. Hot breaks fast was available which is unusual during current times (most are to go boxes) and a nice add. Location is decent. There are restaurants within driving distance as well as stores if you need to grab something. The pool was closed during our visit. I would stay again
Paid crazy money for a room that had no microwave broke window and I wasn't informed about it at check in. Wasn't given and direction about what was available or located in the hotel. No hot tub. Pool was alright for kids. Room was horrible for money and knowing this hotel is only about 3 years old.
The walls are so thin you can hear clearly what’s going on around your room. I was woken up multiple times although I’m normally a heavy sleeper. In addition, the rear door was broken an no room key was needed to access the property.
Extreme cleanliness, comfortable accommodations along with awesome staff make a "great" stay at Oxford, Maine Hampton Inn. Using Hilton Points was a plus. We were on the 5th floor looking out at beautiful scenery was another plus!
We chose the Oxford Hampton Inn because of its proximity to the Oxford Casino, and it’s friendliness towards pets. It’sa Hilton Hampton Inn , so breakfast is served every morning, and there’s coffee in the lobby. We had a king room on the first floor, the layout is such that the first floor is below the lobby floor, it’s one hallway, that includes the gym, and pool. There’s an entrance to the rear parking lot and grassy areas, making it ideal for bringing your dog out for bathroom breaks. The room was clean, and quiet. , staff was friendly.
I stayed back in February and had a wonderful experience. Everything was CLEAN!! Breakfast was well stocked and the staff were all very pleasant. Great location to walk across the street to the casino and down the road is Oxbow Beer Garden, best pizza EVER!
Courteous and personable staff, clean Room, staff following all the CDC protocols. The kitchen staff was disinfecting the tables and counters. We felt very safe. I would definitely stay here again. Very happy with our stay.
Pool closed should be factored into reduced rates as full amenities not available. We were told it was closed for renovations, but suspected it was a covid concern Irregardless, rooms should reflect the fact that all amenities not available
Good location in Oxford, friendly staff and clean hotel. Pool had technical issues but the GYM was nice and clean. Our kids enjoyed the breakfast. Plenty of parking. Coffee station by the front desk is nice as well
