We found the staff at The Black Bear inn was as cordial and welcoming as every other time we visited. The rooms are comfortable and roomy. The continental breakfasts are average but not the best we have had at other hotels. The one problem they should correct immediately is their WIFI is so slow especially in the afternoon and evening...

I've stayed at this hotel on previous trips and always return. It's well-kept although it's beginning to show a little bit of age. The rooms are spacious and very clean as is the rest of the hotel. The hotel looks as if it needs a little updating but that doesn't take away from a good stay. The continental breakfast is...

24-28 August 2015. My wife and I have stayed here once before and we enjoyed our stay as much then as we did this time. We spent four days in the Orono / Bangor ME area to spend time with our daughter who is attend grad school at the University of Maine and to visit Acadia National Park. We are...

We stayed two nights needing convenience to Bangor, Acadia National Park and Barr Harbor. Both nights were pleasant in a nice, clean and quaint room (with Keurig coffee pots! No kidding). They had a wine and cheese hour nightly for the guests to mingle and relax. The staff were friendly and knowledgeably helpful of our needs all at a very...

I guess when I saw "Conference Center" in the title, I was expecting a huge complex, but this is really just a nice average off-the-interstate hotel. We arrived very late and had to leave early, so we didn't get to see much of the place outside the room and breakfast. The room is decent sized, very clean, very quiet (the...

I visited last weekend with my Grandchildren while their mom moved into their new home. It is a lovely hotel the room we had was spacious enough for me and an 8 and 2 year old. The breakfast area was very small and awkward to manage. Didn't see any high chairs or boosters for the 2 year old which made...

The room was very nice and it was very close to I 95 but not noisy. The breakfast was ok but for the size of the hotel I have had better selections. We were there for my wife's 50th class reunion but just used the hotel for Friday night. A nice wine and cheese reception prior to our leaving for...

We recently stayed at the Black Bear Inn twice -- an overnight stay heading to the Atlantic Provinces, and another overnight stay heading home. We found the staff amazingly accommodating, helpful, and extraordinarily nice. Nick and Jamie, in particular, were wonderful! Complimentary wine and cookies in the late afternoon / early evening were a welcome surprise for us and our...

Stayed here after week of camping in BSP so that we could get a fresh start for UMaine tour. People were friendly and helpful. Room noisy due to I95; turned on the AC for whitenoise. Breakfast area too small and not laid out well. Offered a grilling area out back, but you have to walk around the hotel if you...
