We loved our stay here. The owners are lucky to have such good and committed inn keepers. They go above and beyond to make sure everyone is enjoying their stay. The breakfast is like eating at a five star restaurant. We are not big fans of B&B's but this one is unique and an exception to the rule for us....

We adore when guests who don't normally visit B&B's stay with us - as we strive to show them the best of what the small Inn experience has to offer! Thank you for mentioning that 'The breakfast is like eating at a five star restaurant.' As you know, our breakfasts are one of the amenities which help to set us...

We were traveling down the Maine coast and discovered the Hartwell Inn. Located in a quiet neighborhood only a .7 mile walk to downtown (which is impossible to park at) and about a blocks walk to Perkins Cover ($12 parking charge) and the Marginal Way coast walk, the location couldn't have been more convenient. Our innkeeper Charlene made us feel...

We are so blessed with our perfect location at the Hartwell House Inn - and so many of our guests park their cars when they arrive, and stay on foot until they leave. As you mentioned, especially in the busy months, parking in our beautiful little town can be an expensive trial - but our central location alleviates that for...

Beautiful accommodations, decorated with antiques, both the common rooms and each guest room. Lovely grounds. Every room is different. Wonderful breakfasts, custom-made every morning. Loved the blackberry brandy in the room. We stayed at the main building, so breakfast was right downstairs, but the other building is very close by, across the street. Great location, you can walk to everything...

Hartwell House on Shore Drive in the cute touristy town of Ogunquit and Perkins Harbor won't disappoint! Charlene and Eric Taubert are perfect Innkeepers for the Hartwell family. Eric cooks breakfast, Charlene bakes amazing treats. They have a spotless and adorable B&B and they couldn't be more cheerful, friendly and helpful.

Eric and Charlene, as well as the entire staff welcomed us to this wonderful B&B! Breakfast was excellent- make sure you order the blueberry pancakes. Stacy is great while Natalia added her personality and humor to personalized service. We highly recommend this destination!

We recently hosted a wedding at The Hartwell House and couldn't say enough good things about this wonderful inn. The innkeepers, Charlene and Eric, were so helpful and positive and flexible about every one of our requests. They made our guests feel like royalty, catering to their needs and offering up a breakfast that people raved about. When you plan...

This B&B was an amazing surprise for us. The rooms are elegant, cheerful, and comfortable to be in. All the bedrooms are done differently so look on line. There are details that make this inn exceptional. Some of the details will bring a chuckle or smile as you notice them in the inn. The staff is friendly and always willing...

Everything about the Hartwell House was excellent. The rooms were large, well decorated, and spotless (even the private bathroom). The bottle of brandy in the room was an added bonus. The hosts, Charlene & Eric, were friendly and helpful. Eric is a fabulous chef. Breakfast (you got 3 choices) were a real treat. Afternoon tea and refreshments were also provided....

My husband I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Hartwell House Inn just a stone's-throw away from the waterfront at Perkins Cove. We couldn't ask for more pleasant and joy-filled innkeepers than Eric and Charlene who took great care of us. Our breakfast was delicious, prepared by Eric. The grounds are beautiful and our king-sized four-poster bed extra-comfortable. We will...

After passing by this inn so many times, we decided to stay, mostly because of its location between York and Wells. We were visiting friends and relatives in both of those towns. The fact that it was within a short walking distance of Perkins Cove turned out to be an unexpected plus. We chose one of two efficiency units located...
