We stayed at The Colonial Inn for one night as part of a road trip through New England, and found the location to be perfect and our room to be very clean and comfortable! The lobby is a great place to hang out to unwind, they have a free breakfast in the mornings that you can eat in the lobby...

We spent two nights at the Colonial Inn. We found the place charming and would not hesitate to spend time there again. The staff we encountered were all friendly, helpful, and professional. Our room was very clean as were the public spaces we encountered. Since it was October, it didn't matter much that our first floor room had windows right...

This is a great place to stay. Clean rooms, great service, and breakfast is included--croissants, muffins, cereal, fruit, toast, juice, and,,,, of course, coffee--all you can eat! Most restaurants are within walking distance. I stayed here in June, and returned in September.

Check in was fast and the staff was the friendliest and most helpful I've run into at any hotel. Located within walking distance to the beach and town. Nice outdoor hot tub. Nice breakfast in the morning....

This was our first time staying at the Colonial Inn. It is truly a gem. The rooms are large and beautifully decorated, the bed is incredibly comfortable and the bathroom has everything you could ask for, including lots of storage space. There is a large common area on the main level which is perfect for sitting and reading, playing cards...

We only stayed one night but would definitely recommend The Colonial Inn to those passing through Ogunquit. The room was spotless and when we had a problem with the tv, the manager arrived immediately to address the problem. He was extremely helpful with recommending places to eat tool. The Inn offers free parking and a continental breakfast as well. The...

I'm always very happy when I can find hidden gems like The Colonial Inn. You can really see how much time and money they spent in renovating this old Inn. The rooms are really nicely finished. The bathrooms will match any of the large and expensive hotels around the world. So much time was spent in all the fine details....

We were in town recently for a wedding and several of our family members also stayed at the Inn. First, everyone who works at the Inn could not have been nicer to us during our stay. Everyone went out of their way to make us feel welcome and it was greatly appreciated. The rooms are lovely and we looked forward...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The last of the grand hotels of Ogunquit, the Colonial Inn has provided shelter and genuine Maine hospitality to travelers for over 125 years. Today, having undergone a major historical renovation and with new ownership and management, the Colonial Inn steps forward to reclaim its place among top hotels in the heart of Ogunquit. Accommodations at the Colonial Inn are comprised of 62 rooms spread throughout four different buildings, offering a variety of room configurations which can suit guests’ preferences or requirements, whether a single traveler, couple, family or group. The hotel’s Main Inn has been reconfigured and enhanced by taking the previous count of 44 rooms down to 28 rooms, several with water views. The end result is bigger guest rooms that afford a first-class experience with more of the comforts of home. Most rooms in the hotel – and every room in the Main Inn itself – boast a king bed and a coffee maker, all with new furnishings and décor. ... more   less
