It was getting late on Friday afternoon when we decided to look toward the beach for 2 rooms with 2 beds. We checked on trip advisor and decided Sea View might be a good idea. We stopped and was happy to see that there was availability. We were told that there would be no breakfast but there was a restaurant across the street. Coffee would be available outside the office door . After paying we started to our rooms with our 50 lb suitcases. We were on the 3rd floor! NO ELEVATORS. We are old ladies, we should have left. We managed to get a pretty good nights sleep. The back strain wasn’t evident until later the next day. We found the coffee about 8 am The extra charges. $15 per room cleaning fee and $5 RESORT fee was not mentioned in the reservation information It was a $40 lesson to me to ask questions about a advertisement The rest of the trip to New England in the fall was wonderful and we met helpful, friendly people

The actual room is fine - of standard motel quality. If you want to pay 20% more than you expected for that room, this is the place to come. Surprise fees come on the final page of booking. I did agree to them. But they added 20% to the room cost. And yet there was absolutely no incremental service provided for those fees. Essentially it's a price increase - a way to bait and switch. - Cleaning fee. I get it - hard to find workers in this market. However, no other hotel on my trip charged this fee. AND . . . if you are going to charge it, make sure the room is clean. The trash can in my room had not been emptied, so I was greeted with q-tips, personal items, and hair from the previous guest. Not a pleasant welcome. - Resort fee. There is no resort. There were no extra services provided. Yet a resort fee was charged. When asked what the fee covered, the desk clerk had no idea. - Credit card fee. This is the only hotel/motel on my entire multi week trip that charged such a fee. Customer service is non-existent. - Some person named Charlie texted me and said he would be assisting me throughout my stay. He inquired if I needed early arrival - of course for an incremental fee. I said no. But immediately asked a couple of questions. Those questions were never answered. Zero response to my text. So much for "assisting me throughout my stay". - Front desk person was clueless. Literally could not answer one question. What do you recommend seeing and doing while staying here? Are there sidewalks going into town? What do I get for the resort fee? He had no idea on any of these basic questions. He said the Charlie person would contact me - this never happened. At this point, I don't think Charlie exists.

This motel was the biggest disappointment on our once-in-a-lifetime trip of the Northeast. Acadia was jammed so we decided to go to the most expensive room on our trip early, thinking we would have a sea view and a really nice room. Not only was there no view at all, the motel is like a Motel 6 with newer fixtures. No elevator for luggage, guests drag their bags in front of your only window. The staircases are not just at the ends of the building, they have stairs in the middle, too. This ensures you hear suitcases banging from every room. Not being able to open the curtains due to the traffic of guests in front of our room left us in a dark, smaller than average space. Checking in we waited 15 minutes for a clerk to appear. Our next morning began with the hair dryer exploding in my hand, sending sparks to my head and black smoke throughout the tiny room. We were very happy to leave this hellhole which cost us $374 for that one bad night. I think the reviews were faked. We stayed up and down the coast during high season. ALL of our other rooms were way better and less expensive that this rip off,

The people were very nice, and the room was clean, the bed was very comfortable. This was a last minute reservation, so we were happy to be able to stay here. The water was hot, and all the bedding was white, which made the whole experience nicer. The windows opened which was good for fresh air, and you could hear the ocean at night. The rooms were a bit dated, and could use an upgrade of the basics, like the rug and furniture, but overall it was worth what we paid, and it was clean and comfortable, which was the most important. There were some loud people on the balcony late at night, but I suppose that happens.

From picking up the physical keys from the welcoming front desk attendant, to the spacious room nestled in the trees, what a great place! And it's location in Ogunquit is spectacular! The text messaging communication was really helpful and appreciated as well.
