One of the great things about living in Maine is that so much fun is to be had right in our backyard - Maine is, after all, Vacationland. For a few years now my husband and I have been hoping to get out to North Haven for an overnight at Nebo Lodge, and I'm so glad we did. The ferry...

Nebo Lodge on North Haven, Maine was such a fantastic get away. The food at the lodge was grown on the island. The lodge is quaint - NO TELEVISION!!!! which was refreshing. The Turner farm on the island grows much of the food. A tour of the island by Joanne Tiny Taxi gave the visitor an opportunity to see island...

My wife and I celebrated out 25th anniversary the weekend of October 17-18 a Nebo Lodge. We stayed in Calderwood and loved it. Liz, Myra and the entire staff are very friendly and helpful, and the food is very good. The paved roads are smooth and perfect for road bikes, but we brought our mountain bikes which were good on...

My wife and I spent two nights at the Nebo Lodge this past September. We had originally planned on staying in Portland for a couple nights during our week long trip down the Maine coast. Nothing against Portland, but we decided that North Haven and the Nebo Lodge might give us a better flavor of Maine. We made the right...

Ten miles off the coast of Maine, but easily accessible by ferry, is a romantic foodie getaway. Bring your bikes, or rent them, to explore the island. The inn rooms have wooden floors, wrought iron beds, local art. The food is a real attraction -- local oysters, locally sourced vegetables, pickles, beef, and prepared in different ways. You can go...

Thoughtfully restored old lodge/house, with excellent restaurant, best of the island. We were comfortable, greeted in an amiable way and guided as we asked to various good points of the island. Nebo rents bikes, we were content to drive to Turner Farm and other sources of their excellent fresh goods, cheese and meats. Costly compared to the mainland, as are...

(This is a review for the Nebo Lodge restaurant only.) I'm giving Nebo lodge 4 stars because despite a serious issue that we experienced during our recent dinner, the owner and manager handled things so nicely, and made things right for us to the extent that they could. They went way beyond the usual response and we will be back...

From the rooms to the food and the friendly staff, Nebo Lodge is really top notch. Rent a bike and explore the whole island. Get fresh $1 oysters on Middle Road from a refrigerator and shuck 'em yourselves!

From the moment you walk into the lodge you know you've arrived at some place very special. There is attention to detail @ every turn...exquisite fresh flowers, cheerful vintage tablecloths, cottage antiques, Angela Adams textiles, clean scented green bath products.... Nothing was over the top or pretentious, just down to earth & spot on. We stayed in calderwood, small but...

Nebo Lodge's Barn Dinner was exceptional. The staff and and the quality of food was excellent. The Barn at Turner Farm magnificent! The views from all over North Haven Island amazing. I cant say enough about how skilled to pull this type of dinner off once a week in the summer the staff at Nebo should be very proud of...
