I've been camping for several years and this has been my favorite campground so far. All of my experiences have been at State Parks in New York. This was my first time camping in a private campground. My family spent 8 nights tent camping in...More
These are nicely spaced sites and each one has trees and a pleasing setting. Many tent sites have platforms. RV's over 20 feet are not allowed. Not fancy with the amenities (wi-fi, for example, is only in one building) but the privacy makes it worth...More

Hello! We went in August of last year and had no real issues with bugs. We brought some tiki torches and those helped keep the mosquitoes at bay, but they weren't really terrible to begin with. I would say the screen room would likely be better. We brought an awning last year and it was really only used for our kitchen stuff. Not sure if we'll bring it again this year but a screen room would be nice...saw quite a few folks with those. As for the waterfront sites, you don't necessarily have to book a year in advance, although if you know you want one - book it in January when online reservations open. They go quickly.
