This is a small town motel that is a good choice if you are staying in Machias. All furnishings appear new and in excellent condition. Rooms are not the Hilton size, roughly 12 x 12. TV has about 60 channels. Free WiFi is fast. Front desk is super friendly.

The Margaretta Inn is a hidden gem in Machias. The room was clean and upscale, with great attention to detail. We especially enjoyed the heated bathroom floor! The owner and her staff were very friendly and went out of their way to be helpful. The Inn also offers a continental breakfast. We highly recommend staying there. The next time we...

I stayed for 1 night for a business trip. The room is small but nicely done with a coffee maker, fridge and microwave. The bed even included a small welcome note with the sunrise and weather report for the next morning. Check in/out was quick and easy. The staff member I interacted with was friendly. Overall, I'm pleased with my...

Wonderful, comfortable stay! Not fancy, not big but clean and comfortable. It was late when we arrived so we didn't know anything about a view. We only stayed the one night. The front desk person directed us to a wonderful restaurant for breakfast!

When staying in Machias, there is no better choice. The rooms are up to date and very nice. This is a family owned property and it shows in the care and attention to detail....and the personal touch. I have been travelling Downeast quite a bit.....and there is not a better hotel in the area. Sherry and her family will make...

This would be a 5 star motel except the air conditioner makes noise during the night. It was quiet on start but after we went to sleep it made loud noise and needed a restart. Other than this, the bed was very comfortable, everything was new, nice heated floor in bathroom.

A wonderful surprise in Machias! Modern clean furnishings and linens. The small fridge and microwave really were great to have in a community with limited dining options - I got in late and had to leave before breakfast was available so I was able to purchase dinner and breakfast items at the grocery store and prepare them in the room....

I've stayed in just about every motel in Machias. I found this one to be the most up to date, the cleanest, and had the most amenities for what I would like to have for my stay. The little extra differences with this motel, like the lightning speed of their Wi-Fi, heated bathroom floors, and super comfortable bed, may make...

What a breathe of fresh air in Machias! Everything was the just right. There was nothing that was not thought of and done for us. One of the best places to stay and the best place in Machias. The beds, the restroom and the breakfast were all top notch.
