We chose to spend one night here on a recent holiday. We don’t have inns like this in Europe and was keen to try. Some other ones had v floral decor etc and all nice I’m sure but we wanted something more modern. The decor was so pretty and the bedroom for 3 of us was really big. What a view. Bed linen as good as a 5 star hotel and good towels too. The shower was to die for ! The pool was small but perfect and the hot tub was great woth a nice pool house behind. Breakfast was beautiful and so well done. We would love to come back, Trip advisor helped us find it so here’s a big thank you. Staff from moment we arrived to left, could not have done more.
Spoiler alert: it will be better than you possibly could have imagined. The website doesn’t do this amazing place justice. The inn is situated in a stunning and serene setting on West Penobscot Bay. The rooms are large and comfortable with fireplaces. The a-la-carte breakfast offers something delicious for everyone. The staff are friendly and accommodating, they did some serious juggling to help us secure another night’s stay. The infinity pool, hot tub and pool house with sauna are to die for. Upon arriving here we were welcomed with a warm hello and cookies and coffee/tea. We knew within 5 minutes that we’d want to stay longer. There are no drawbacks to this place, it was a truly wonderful experience and we’ll be back for sure.
Actually it would be hard to say enough good things about our stay at this beautiful Inn at Ocean’s Edge. We were in a hilltop king suite which was absolutely beautiful - spacious and restfully decorated. We loved the fireplace, views, and amazing housekeeping! The inn grounds are gorgeous- with flowering shrubs, flowers, and ferns everywhere. We had massages- which were great- and we loved the beautiful infinity pool and relaxing area around the pool. The breakfasts are absolutely delicious and so plentiful. There are many choices and it is all very good. We loved having lox!! The women in the dining room are so friendly and give great service. This is an awesome Inn and a very beautiful and relaxing place to stay- close to Camden and many points of interest.
This is easily one of the best places we have ever stayed. Epic views, incredible amenities, super comfortable beds, spacious rooms, incredible breakfast, and friendly and great service! If you’re in the area, this is absolutely the place to stay! Loved the pool, hot tub, and sauna, too! Right on the rocky beach in the bay and minutes to spots in Camden, Lincolnville, and Rockport.
The hotel is beautiful. The water view is amazing. Grounds, pool, staff, all top notch. Breakfast were great with a wonderful view. If you can book a massage Sunday is a wonderful masseuse. The staff was friendly and the rooms were spacious and very clean!
We stayed here in May 2022, this was a first time visit. I had planned a birthday getaway for my girlfriend. The morning of our arrival date I got a call from Lisa asking if it was ok to upgrade our stay from the hilltop to the poolhouse at no charge. The upgrade was more than we could have hoped for. I also ordered flowers and chocolate covered strawberries to be there upon arrival and they did not disappoint. The location was perfect to be able to get out and explore Camden, as well as Rockland. The breakfast was delicious and cooked to order. The staff was friendly and accommodating. My girlfriend and I both felt this was a 10 out of 10 experience and we look forward to visiting again.
My husband and I booked our first visit to Maine for May 2022 (after a year of researching and planning the perfect Anniversary trip). After looking into MANY places to stay, we decided on Inn @ Ocean's Edge (dealing with the GM was so easy, he put my mind at ease about travel/covid and having the perfect spot for us to celebrate). Recently we have (sadly) decided to cancel our trip due to a health issue that will keep us close to home. The hotel graciously cancelled our reservation and wished us well, hoping to see us in the future. We will DEFINITELY re-book at this hotel when our situation allows us to travel once again. Customer service these days is greatly lacking; it was so refreshing to run into a situation where there is grace, good manners and easy interaction!
Inn at ocean edge is the most peaceful place we have ever stayed. The grounds are pristine. Be sure to walk to the rocky beach. Our October stay was at peak leaf peeping! We stayed in the hilltop building, room 12. The view is unrivaled. To be able to wake to the sunrise was a gift. The short walk to the main building for breakfast was no issue. Breakfast was standard fare. Staple items on the menu, with a special each day. The staff were pleasant and accommodating. Would certainly recommend staying here.
We stayed only one night, but we wish we could have stayed longer! The location to Camden with shops and restaurants is convenient and the location of the hotel on the water is picturesque. The room was large and comfortable, but it was the very friendly staff that was the real treat. Everyone was so friendly and the breakfast was fantastic!
My wife and I chose The Inn at Ocean’s Edge to stay at (and most of our guests) when we were hosting our wedding at The Edge (separate venue) next door. We cannot say enough great things about this inn!! First of all every single room was STUNNING. We first stayed in the poolhouse suites, which were gorgeous, private, spacious, clean, and the absolute PERFECT place for a bridal suite the morning of a wedding!! The second room we stayed was a more “basic” option on the ground level of the main building… it was still one of the most glamorous pristine perfect hotel rooms we have ever stayed. We had the pleasure of seeing a few other rooms from our bridal party and they were all just as stunning and perfect. The breakfasts that are included are incredibly delicious. Absolutely better quality than you can find in most of the local diners. We got to choose what type of eggs, pancakes, fruit, sides, juices, etc etc. Every single thing was delicious!! Any time we needed help with anything the staff were all friendly and kind. Every staff member was a pleasure to work with (and deserves a bonus)!! We received extra help from Lisa and Mark who were so kind and made us feel right at home. As if all of this wasn’t enough, the grounds are the most beautiful I have seen in any hotel. Right on the water, pristine gardens, perfect infinity pool, and super hot hot tub! We also enjoyed the sauna and freely available pool towels. Thank you everything- we will DEFINITELY be back for our anniversary!!…
