This is the place to stay ! Upscale sexy modern rooms (we stayed in the cottages ). Bikes. Beach chairs. Insane breakfast toast bar with everything you can imagine. Far from pastries. Excellent service. Your own private fire table area for those chilly summer nights. We just loved it. Highly recommend.
This inn was very nice and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Clean facilities and great location just a short walk to town. We had a nice room with a private patio which was great. Only issues were room was very small, no room for suitcases, bed was uncomfortable and shower had a very weak flow. Breakfast was very good for a continental breakfast plus. You can use bicycles and beach chairs which was a plus. I would rate this place as a 4.5 and would stay there again in a different room.
Very cute houses but modern design with everything you need and more, fabulous breakfast with a lot of choice Every cabin has a fireplace in and outside A few minutes walk from restaurants and boutique We fell the night life nearby but no bother
The location of the inn is very convenient to shops and restaurants, and the staff are very pleasant. Unfortunately this didn’t make up for the difficulties we had as an older couple with physical limitations. We are not disabled but we require stairs that are safe to climb, which a steep spiral staircase is not. We had to pay $30 extra per night to be switched to a cabin. This turned out to not be a much better option as the bed was extremely uncomfortable and dangerous for my husband to get up from due to a very large wooden platform (nightstand?) that was attached to the bed frame. The bathroom lacked any shelf to place personal items on and the only mirror was in the bathroom, not convenient for a couple trying to groom at the same time. Breakfast was awkward as the only tables with seats high enough to sit on were outside which wasn’t ideal with the rain and cool weather. All of the couches in the common areas were extremely low and would be impossible for us to get up from. It’s a shame as this could have been a great place to stay but it was designed for young able bodied people,…
My daughter and I stayed in both the main house and the cabins and loved them both! Beautifully appointed with plenty of room and exceptional hospitality, the property was elegant and convenient. Breakfast was a photo-worthy event. My daughter has special dietary needs and the staff accommodated her perfectly. Brandi and her team were all helpful and knowledgeable giving us lots of insider tips and information. We can't wait to come back!
Great location, super friendly and clean! The breakfast was a wonderful treat, beautiful spread of everything!! Our room was ready early AND a noon checkout was asked for and received. We WILL be back and also check out the other properties the next block over. LOVE LARK!!
Upon arrival, I was taken back by the beauty of the place. Check in was very easy. The hotel is located within walking distance to the downtown area so very convenient also provided plenty of parking for the guests. The check in area was decorated in a simplistic and elegant manor. The staff was very accommodating and professional. The hotel provided the guests complimentary waters that we gladly took for the room. We rented a cabin studio and let me tell you, they will not disappoint! The decor was again simple and sophisticated-really such a special place. The room had a fireplace inside and outside our cabin was a fire pit and bench that we enjoyed sitting by. Really couldn’t be happier with our stay. Looking forward to coming back again soon.
Wow! What a fantastic weekend. A hearty thank you to Brandy. From the second we stepped inside to check in, Brandy made us feel like friends. We would highly recommended this hotel. Thanks Brandy for a great experience. Hope your Butter beer recipe works out! Cheers!
Every person we encountered was friendly and anxious to help make our visit to Kennebunkport special. The location was perfect for walking to downtown for shopping and all of the restaurants. We will defiantly be back!
We have stayed many times at the Captain Jefferds now owned by the same owners as AWOL. We met a person at check in but never got a tour of the property or room. Needless to say it was really the last time we saw anyone other than the delivery of our breakfast and check out. We always loved the gourmet breakfasts of Captain Jefferds Inn. The bagel and coffee were fine but the choices were VERY limited and the spinach croissant was of frozen descent. Understanding it’s Covid but just not the same. The temperature of the room was unbearably hot the first night. Needless to say we did not get a good night’s sleep which set the tone for the next day. Upon hearing our neighbors had the same problem on their first night it would have been nice not to experience the same thing a day later. Upon arriving there were fresh baked cookies. It was the last we saw of them as we were the only guests the next night and neither days were there anymore fresh baked cookies. Water in LR was never refreshed with Ice. No cream for coffee or stir sticks, had to use a honey stick they had for tea. In order to get Ice for our drinks I had to use a cooler out on the deck which was frozen in one big block. In the dark trying to figure it out and break it up using the same scoop and my hands were all over it. Not sanitary. Supposedly they keep a cooler in the house with Ice - the two times I looked it was a bag of water. For a $700 weekend we certainly did not feel it was worth it.…
