Beautify views of water for sunset on lawn. Great service around pool area where they offer great lobster roll. You must order the blueberry pie which is prepared by a delightful pastry chef , Karyn. Group dinner of haddock for our traveling tour was ok. But the pie crust made from butter not lard was truly delightful.

Since this is an older hotel, the rooms in the main building do not have air conditioning nor televisions. Personally I have no issues with the lack of a television, but the air conditioning can be an issue. I am a very light sleeper and this hotel is noisy. When everyone leaves their windows open the breeze slams all the...

My fiancee had a great time during our trip to Kennenbunkport the second week of August. We took an Amtrak train to nearby Wells and were able to secure a Taxi for transport. Uber drivers were more available as the weekend came closer. The region is completely doable without a car although you wouldn't need to leave the grounds if you...

Every year we visit this hotel - we love staying here. The staff are wonderful, the pool is restful, easy access to the beach and the rooms are lovely. The breakfast is such a great way to start the day. We love dogs, we have two but they do not travel with us. One of the things we like about...

We spent two days, one evening at this very large hotel. It's a wonderful older building, very clean. Food, cocktails, and overall service was stellar. The pool is a warm salt water pool. Very nice! Our room did not have a TV. this hotel is a short walk to all the shops On the main streets of Kennebunkport.

Visiting and staying at the Colony has become a tradition for our family. It is our long weekend away to wrap up summer and cross over into the start of school and work year. Very relaxing venue with lots of choices, the large expansive porch to sit and read, eat breakfast, take in the views, watching the boats set out...

We held a meeting here in the early summer of 2015 and it was amazing. The facility is a step back in time that is well preserved and one that I would encourage. The rooms in the Main Hotel are turn of the century which means they not air conditioned but mostly not needed because of the fresh breeze directly...

We just returned from five days at the Colony and are planning on making it an annual tradition. I think to really enjoy its many charms, you need to be prepared for the type of hotel it is - an old-fashioned, family hotel. It's not a Four Seasons by any means, but it's a very classic, back in time feel....

The Colony Hotel sits right on a bluff overlooking the Atlantic and the entrance to Kennebunkport Harbour – really you can’t get a better location. It is about a mile or two from town, close enough to make it by car in about 2 minutes, or a decent walk which is doable. The best word to describe the Colony is...
