We stay at Red Apple every year on our way to Bar Harbor. It’s an excellent clean campground. Quiet. Large sites. The nicest people own and run this beautiful place. It’s convenient to Kennebunkport and Portland. I would highly recommend this Campground.
Very well kept campground. Sites have room between and to get in easily. Paved roads and parking spots. Very courteous and friendly staff and owners! I dropped a $100 bill outside when going to check in. Didn't even know it! The owner brought it to...More
Red Apple Campground is just great! The first time we went there, we asked about a taxi to town. The owner & his wife drove us into town to save us on taxi fare. Good thing, because that was literally the day before Uber became...More

I have stayed here many times and have NEVER had any problems with the facility or the owners and staff. This is a FIRST RATE location and everyone who stays here is treated like family and made to feel right at home when there. In fact, Dave and the staff go out of their way to be friendly and helpful. When I ran out of propane, a loaner tank was provided. I only camp at two locations - this one in Maine and one in Vermont. We like the one in Vermont, but we LOVE the Red Apple!
