We stayed the first weekend of November of 2023: Amelia and Ron are new innkeepers and very nice kind people who place emphasis on their guests and their new thriving business. The most important part of our stay at their lovely hotel is the love and joy Amelia and Ron aspire to make all feel welcome, happy, and comfortable. We wish you the best and hope to see you next summer, many thanks, your friends from the Austrian Alps! Hannah, Christoph & Chester

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at The Waldo Emerson Inn. Ron and Amelia, the owners of the inn, were so warm and welcoming; we enjoyed visiting with them! The homemade breakfasts were delicious! Breakfast was yogurt with granola and fresh blueberries followed by scrambled eggs, bacon and French toast, orange juice and coffee! Our room, Ralph’s Library, was beautifully decorated. The bed was very comfortable with luxury sheets and pillows. Refreshments, such as coffee, cold drinks, candy, and chocolate chip cookies were always available. If we ever visit Kennebunk again, we will stay here!

I reserved a FULLY REFUNDABLE room for summer 2024 through hotels.com. I cancelled less than one day later, (change of plans), still 9 months before the reservation date. The hotel refunded all but $50 of my payment and refused to refund the rest, despite their advertisement on hotels.com. It took several phone calls and finally a dispute through my credit card to get the final refund, which is still pending. So BEWARE. This inn seems to have deceptive (and illegal) advertising. I will never stay there even if my plans change.

Thank you for your feedback although to our knowledge we received only one phone call from Hotels.com and immediately approved the refund, realizing our error. I apologize for the inconvenience it may have caused. It is never our intent to mislead our guests in any way.

Just spent a lovely couple of nights at this inn. The inn is old New England complete with wooden floors. Our room Kingsbury was beautiful and with a very comfy bed. Owners Amelia and Ron were very welcoming and provide nice touches like complimentary snacks alongside their bar area. Breakfast was great both mornings at the communal table.

Our stay at the Waldo Emerson Inn was perfect in every way. Upon arrival we were warmly greeted by the Innkeeper,Amelia. Because we were the only guests of the Inn on our first night, Amelia gave us a tour of the whole historic Inn. Each guest room is unique and beautiful. There is a full coffee and tea station upstairs in the hallway outside of the guest rooms, which we took frequent advantage of. Breakfast each morning was delicious, abundant and thoughtfully prepared. The recommendations for day trips and places to visit and eat were fantastic and the Inn is near several great antique shops and restaurants. The sitting rooms downstairs are lovely and comfortable and we enjoyed a glass of wine from the “honor bar” each night and some fun conversations with Amelia and her charming and funny husband, Rob. The bed and bedding was so comfortable. The whole place was immaculate. We can’t wait to return to the Waldo Emerson Inn!

When I planned our trip to Maine on wanted to stay in a B&B during our time in Kennebunk. I looked around and came across the Waldo Emerson Inn. It was everything I was looking for! Built in the 1700's, modernized but decorated with old world charm, we loved our room. The beds were comfortable with nice bed linens (which is a big plus with me) Hana's breakfasts were healthy but delicious and the coffee really good! Hana is a hands- on owner. She gave us great tips on where to eat and where to go and also provides lists of things to do, not just in Kennebunk but up and down the coast. I highly recommend this quaint, lovely inn that is also close to everything. You can't go wrong.

This traditional New England house is located close to the many restaurants and amenities in Kennebunkport. We received a warm welcome from Hana. The bedrooms are very comfortable and there is ample seating space in the reception areas to relax. Refreshments and snacks were available at all times and the breakfast was very tasty. We will definitely return if we’re in the area again.

Stayed for three nights in early September, and absolutely loved the place. Hana greeted us and gave us a tour of the beautiful historic house, which I can imagine would be great to stay in virtually any time of year. Every day was a different breakfast which never disappointed! The rooms were spacious, and clean, with comfortable beds. A 5 min drive to the "downtown" Kennebunkport, with many amazing sea views, restaurants, hikes around. Also not far from Portland. Definitely would recommend

This is our second visit in this charming and historic inn. It is evident that innkeeper Hana continues to improve this 270 year old property and always surprises with an innovative and delicious breakfast! The beds are wonderfully comfortable and appointed with luxury linens. Hana and the staff are super helpful with restaurant recommendations and suggestions for exploring the area. Small details like fresh flowers in the room and complimentary snacks and beverages are a unique touch. The gardens are lovely with numerous seating areas to enjoy the outdoors as well as a cozy fire pit. Always a memorable stay.
