Not the newest of cottages, but clean and comfortable enough for a night or two. If you have a family, this is a simple and price efficient way to spend some time. Stayed in a two unit cottage (split in two with adjoining door) that had two beds, fridge, microwave, couch, desk and flat screen tv. Bathroom is small and...

I stayed in the Cottages and I was floored. I had called ahead of time to see that my room would be ready ahead of time and when I arrived I went into my cottage and the heat was completely off. I could see my breathe in the room ( in October NO HEAT ON for ARRIVALS). It took 4...

We were on a Fall Foliage leaf and lighthouse tour of 4 states. We wanted to' stay near Acadia National Park, but not in the busy area of Bar Harbor. We found The Colony' online and booked two nights there. It is right next to the road into Acadia N.P. and the Visitors Center. Still only a couple of miles...

We stayed at a reduced rate and I truly wanted to like this location. Since I was a kid, I thought the cabins looked magical. The view is spectacular and it has a true vacation feel. Unfortunately we were disappointed. We found hair behind the bathroom door. We also had what appeared to be baking powder on the radiator in...

This was our first experience travelling with a dog, so we were pleased that The Colony welcomes animals. Located at the Hull Cove entrance to Acadia, next to the free bus stop, and across from their own private beach makes this spot unique. We stayed in a duplex with a full bed and a twin bed, across from the pool....

This is a great location from which to visit all the sights and do all the outdoor activities inside and near Acadia National Park. We found the Town of Bar Harbor to be much too touristy and crowded so it was always fun to come back and stay in the cottage at The Colony (we stayed for 5 nights a...

I was pleasantly surprised. I'd read the reviews but am skeptical of cottages and cabins. They can really backfire on you. But this one blew my mind. Comfortable, clean, great mattress. Everything in our single unit king was fresh. The sink room adjoining bathroom had a long counter with fridge, micro, and Keurig coffee maker. Table, very comfortable sofa/loveseat. Good...

We enjoyed a long October weekend at The Colony cabins. Pet friendliness allowed us to bring our dog along. The room was clean and roomy enough, the bed offered comfort after a long day of hiking. The staff kept the room clean and they were helpful and knowledgeable about the area as well.

Nice place to stay and good value for the price. Close to the town and Acadia national park. Stayed there in October with 60F outside. Heat and hot water worked perfectly and having two sinks in the rooms was very useful.

The staff was very friendly and helpful, the rooms were clean but need some maintenance lose light fixtures grouting in the Tub was black in spots needs to be replaced. Stayed in a duplex very noisy. Suggest single units. Close to town and entrance to the park. The piper was an unexpected treat. We would not stay there again.
