This is a great place to stay in the Moosehead Lake region. Plus you can walk around in town from the inn. The food is very good -although we only had breakfast there. After eating in town, we wished we had eaten dinner at the Inn. The owners are lovely and helpful. Would definitely stay there again. There is no...

It was autumn and the fall colours were in full swing. We arrived to a warm welcome and shown our room. It was cute and comfortable. The room was clean as was the bathroom. Bed comfortable. No Television - no issue with us - if you go to Greenville to watch TV in your room you have a problem! The...

We started our leaf peeping trip in Greenville, Maine hoping the leaves there would have a head start on areas south. Unfortunately due to warmer than usual weather, the leaves were still quite green. Luckily we had a great place to stay, Captain Sawyer House Bed and Breakfast, and wonderful hosts. Amy and John were both really nice and helpful....from...

We had a tremendous time! The view/location is out of this world. The Hosts John and Amy not only took great care of us, they gave us great recommendations.(make sure you ask about the Moose and The B-52 bomber). The Inn itself is quite quaint and everything you want in a B&B, including an in house bar and tarbender! The...

My husband and I had the pleasure of eating here. We did not stay here, but we made a reservation for dinner. This was the best food, hands down, we had staying in Greenville. The Moosehead Bites were so good that I had to order more to go. The owners were so sweet and we loved talking to them. This...

My husband and I stayed for one night here at Captain Sawyer House. I wish we could have stayed longer. Both Amy and John were very pleasant and helpful in making our stay pleasant. John loaned us his map to guide us to seeing moose (which we saw exactly in the area he said!) and driving into the woods to...

Captain Sawyer House is run by a charming couple who go out of their way to help people relax and enjoy the area. The inn is at a convenient location to walk into town to enjoy restaurants and shops, and the front balcony, where we ate breakfast, has a lovely view of the lake. We didn't realize until our last...

My husband and I stayed at the Captain Sawyer House at the end of July during a trip to the Moosehead Lake area. Amy and John are excellent hosts, the good hearty breakfasts fueled our hikes and kept us going till dinner time. They offered great recommendations on dining and hiking in the area and were spot on with their...

Although we did not stay here, the restaurant was recommended by our Moose Safari guide, Eric. My husband and I had a fantastic dinner here - the beer was good, but the food was even better!!. We had a fun time with the staff and listening to the locals. Great overall experience. Our compliments to the chef, she was amazing!!!!!
