Hard to ever imagine staying in a regular hotel when you can stay in such a lovely, historic place. We had two very comfortable unique bedrooms with great antiques and authentic decor. I do agree with another reviewer about the beds being a bit too firm and I did mention this to the host. The breakfast was delicious with pancakes...

Very historic, quaint B&B outside of Portland. We stayed for 1 night and definitely enjoyed our stay! The house itself has that very rustic, historic feel. Very quiet location outside of the city. The owners were very kind and welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed. Breakfast was delicious! Homemade French toast with berries. The breakfast sausage was...

We stayed at the George Perley House for 3 nights at the end of August in Gray, Maine. It is a B&B with three clean and tidy rooms all with queen-sized beds. Two of the rooms share a bathroom and the third room is a suite that has a private four-piece bathroom, a kitchenette area with a refrigerator, sink and...

This was a very restful overnight stop on our vacation. We loved the gardens, the chickens, and surrounding area. The breakfast was excellent, but I think the guys felt that it could have been a little more substantial.

Who knew we could stay in peaceful, rural, historic Gray Maine and dine in the waterfront elegance and sophistication of Yarmouth in 20 minutes http://www.royalrivergrillhouse.com. And... shop in Freeport in 17 minutes! Who knew??? Our hosts did, Doreen and Cole are a delight, interesting and very kind, especially with our questions on the area. Make sure to go to Sabbath...

I was traveling on my own and spent 5 nights at Doreen and Cole's wonderful B&B. Although I had to share the bathroom with other guests, there were no problems with it. Everything was extremely clean, with lots of nice touches. The best thing about it were the breakfasts. I met lots of really interesting people and had wonderful conversations....

This is everything you would imagine a B & B in Maine to be – from the thoughtful little touches (plush robes, chocolate stash, a bin of snacks, upscale bath products), to the impeccable rooms (ours had exquisite woodworking, gorgeous, comfortable furniture and a wonderfully diverse selection of books and magazines) to an atmosphere of quiet and tranquility (we looked...
