The view of the sunset each night was breathtaking. It's the perfect location to explore too. There is a path that leads down to the water where we went swimming each morning. The Inn had breakfest for us to choose from to either eat in or take on the road to start the day. The Inn's location was a little...

The Bluff House Inn has a spectacular view of Frenchman Bay. Dallas is a pleasant host but he is not the owner. The owner is absentee and clearly not putting money into maintaining or fixing up the place, which is not Dallas' fault. Rooms are basic. No TV in rooms. Worn carpeting, dated décor. Come for the view and the...

I couldn't agree more with the person who wrote a review on 28 July. Come here only if you like quiet, you have no needs but watching the ocean, you like basics (room and breakfast), you don't want to meet the innkeeper (the leave the key for you at the reception), and you also like to be overcharged. Self-catering accommodation....

Everyone is looking for something when they travel. Some love luxury. Some love to relax. I relax. Bluff House was the beginning of a two week trip and set a great marker for what we wanted to experience. Dallas was friendly, relaxed, and informative. If you travel in the summer, wear mosquito spray for the upstairs porch. It is an...

This is a difficult review to write. First, here is what we liked with regard to this property; the location is beautiful overlooking a wide bay and it is set well off the main road so it is very quiet and peaceful. There is no air conditioning in the rooms but we did have a nice, somewhat cool breeze through...

What once was a delightful inn has sadly declined to an old motel that the interstate passed by. We had stayed many times over 25 years and thought a return visit was warranted. Bluff House was always a simple, rustic lodge with a great view and attentive innkeepers. It now shows the results of years of maintenance neglect. Flaking paint,...

Wonderful visit and a quiet, restful get away. Fresh coffee and breakfast every morning with the beautiful porch view made me not want to leave the inn each day. Will go back one day with a book, as it is the perfect place to just 'be'. An easy drive from Portland, we enjoyed seafood in Rockport along our drive.

The Inn is in a great location with gorgeous views. Dallas was our innkeeper and he seemed like a great guy, super friendly and accommodating. The building itself is really cool looking, especially the downstairs area. It has a very rustic feel. It's older and probably needs a few upgrades, but it was overall a really warm and welcoming atmosphere....

We only stayed for 2 nights, and I wish it were longer. The staff were wonderful, friendly and helpful, the location is peaceful and refreshing. Amazing views, warm rooms and comfortable. I wouldn't hesitate to return here and I would highly recommend it to others

We had been traveling for several weeks and found Bluff House Inn while driving down the highway. We drove down the long private driveway and when we saw the house and view, we knew we wanted to stay here. Lori, the innkeeper welcomed us and we were so glad there was an opening. She was very informed about the area,...
