The Mooring turned out to be even more than we had hoped for. Each room had a theme that was tastefully carried out. All of the rooms were lovely, with ocean views, but we especially liked the window seat in our room (The Violet Room). Penny is an excellent hostess. Her breakfasts were fabulous. We stayed there for three days,...

We were there for a friends wedding and had a wonderful time! Penny did a marvelous job of making sure that all details were taken care of and all of the guests felt at home. The view and hospitality are the best in the world. So much to enjoy and the smell of breakfast waffling up the stairs cannot be adequately described. I usually don't like to eat breakfast but Penny's breakfasts are heavenly. Staying at the Mooring gives you everything Maine is.

This was my first trip to Maine, and we had a family wedding at the Mooring. There was enough room for the family to stay on site, which allowed for lots of reconnecting time. It was a relaxed environment, and the staff took incredible care of us. The house and property are absolutely beautiful - quant and cozy, and the...

The B&B was a little over decorated for our tastes. I had to compare with others we stayed at and prefer them over this one. I found the breakfasts rather ordinary in comparison. The wine and cheese in the late afternoon was a plus. The owner was rather nice. Most of the business is dedicated to weddings.

We have stayed at The Mooring several times and it is always a pleasure. Penny is a wonderful hostess and incredible cook. Morning breakfasts are very tasty and filling. Beautiful views of Harmon's Harbor from the front porch. Lobstermen pull traps and sailboats pass by. Highly recommend The Mooring B&B!
