Great experience. Went when a little muddy. Nice farm; good for children to visit, not a hands on petting zoo! Good for walking. Sites nicely spaced out. Large fire pit. had water. Playground, volley ball net. Beach OK. Camp store. Freeport nearby for lots of shopping!

Came here last year with my son and brought the rest of the family back this year We stayed on the west bay side, on the water, across the field from the playground. This spot allowed us to be at the camp site white watching our 4 yr old across the field at the play structure, which isn't much but...

This is a large campground that is well maintained. We visited when it was a slow time but could see well placed sites that would be still peaceful even if full. Lots of sites for tents and beautiful views. We did need to use the dump station. Interestingly, they checked our dogs before we signed in and asked about rabies...

Great concept and place for family camping. It was a nice campgrounds and beautiful views. Only issue I had was that our campsite was changed from ocean front to a different one as they were spraying for Brown moths. It was nice to have electric and water at the new campsite since we didn't have the ocean view. We still...

Great campground with stunning views. Excellent amenities, nice little store, good showers/bathrooms. Very quiet and peaceful place, one which we may make a yearly visit to for Labor Day weekend. Very close to Freeport for big stores and restaurants, and beautiful drives from the campground to some of Maine's best beaches. My fiancé and couldn't have had a nicer stay.

There are sites with electricity and water but they are back in the woods with no view. To get the view, which is wonderful, you have to take a campsite with no electricity and no, on site, water. Water is close however so that isn't a big problem. We were there in Oct 2015 so the campground was sparsely populated...

Pricy for those around and what you get. Very friendly staff. Dirt roads in the park are narrow, windy and difficult to get your trailer through without scraping. I couldn't have done it but thanks to hubby's excellent skills, we got in. Big spots, far apart and quiet. Signage is in the wrong place and we went down one road...

Just spent a long weekend at the Bayview cabin at Recompence. It was simply a joy all around. Friendly, helpful staff, immaculate cabin, comfortable beds. Believe it or not, clean-smelling, well equipped latrine just steps from the door. Everything was as advertised as far as kitchen equipment, etc. There are three gas lights, more important in the off season than...

Was lucky enough to spend the day at Cove Cabin on the point overlooking the ocean at Beautiful Wolfe's Neck this week. My Colleague booked it for our office retreat. We had a great day of planning for 2016. We were able to relax and not worry about phones or interruptions. We brought a nice lunch in. The cabin was...

Stayed for three nights in August, had a fantastic time, the weather was great, but our view of the ocean was majestic. The tide does go out, so be prepared that you could be looking at mud, but when the tide comes back its game on for kayaking, paddle boarding or swimming! A few bugs in the evening , just...
