We are glad you enjoyed your stay. You did arrive just in time for the blizzard so we know you did not get to enjoy the town and all that it has to offer during your time here. We do look forward to you and your family's return:) Thank you for taking the time to write this review. :) It...

We were supposed to stay for two nights in our original plans. Due to a Nor' Easter snow storm we rescheduled our stay to later in the week but our revised schedule only allowed for 1 overnight this time. I wish it could have been 2! Connie was a delightful hostess-- Very warm, friendly and willing to make sure we...

Connie was a wonderful hostess. She checked in with us often making sure we were comfortable. She offered us extra plates, glasses, and utensils for when we "ate in" after picking up a wonderful meal at a nearby restaurant that she recommended. She had toys and towels for dogs to use. The breakfast each morning (we stayed 2 nights) was...

We loved having you both and your pup stay with us! And we are very happy you had a wonderful experience with us. Yes, I had to pin point what I did differently in the first room you had booked and found it was the cleaner I used on the floor. With all of the snow we've had some of...

This is a lovely B&B in Freeport, ME. The room we had was great and easily accommodated the three of us. We arrived at a somewhat unsocial hour (around 22.00) and found the host to be very understanding and welcoming. I would have no hesitation in booking this B&B again. This B&B is only a very short walk from the...

We loved having you:) Usually an early arrival is not a problem during the off season. We would love to have you stay again. Thank you for taking the time to write this wonderful review. Freeport is so much fun to walk through with all of the shops, restaurants, theater, and, of course, LLBean. Thank you again for this review...

This was a last minute reservation for a busy Fall weekend, and Connie was extremely accommodating as my plans firmed up. I stayed in the smallest room but was very comfy. Breakfast was superb, the grounds and garden delightful, and the little touches of a friendly historic B&B were wonderful!

Candlebay Inn was a delightful find! A historic home lovingly made into a welcoming destination. Our hostess Connie was warm and welcoming. We stayed in the smallest room, (the Clover room) but its size was still more that enough. With its own private bath and shower, the room was decorated warmly with everything we needed. A lovely sitting room with...

We stayed this past weekend and couldn't be happier with the experience. The Innkeeper Connie was friendly and accommodating. The rooms were clean and had everything we could need for the stay. It is located very close to shopping so you can walk if you want. We brought our dog and he was welcomed with open arms. There was another...

Very nice Inn. Cost was a little higher than we would have liked. Other than that - room & bathroom were spotless...good breakfast and very congenial host. Close to downtown which was a bonus. Ample parking also. Would definitely return.

If you are staying in or around Freeport, you will not do better than this beautiful inn located just slightly off the beaten track in Freeport.
