Although the motel is very small and old but very clean, the rooms are very spacious, the staff is very nice! Very well equipped too! Stop here if you pass through the city. The staff said there were deer passing by in the night, but we weren't lucky enough to see them. There is everything you need to have a good, peaceful night unlike most motels everything was neat, tidy and surrounded by nature. You could see the forest in the back window. We had a wonderful stay Thank you.
After checking in to our “Newly updated room” we were shocked at the filthy stained carpet, along with NO HOT WATER, the manager came to the room to verify no hot water, after requesting a refund they said no and sentus to a sister motel of theirs the Colonial Valley hotel, upon arrival there were 8-10 men sitting outside the motel room 2 doors down from our room, drinking and very rowdy, our room was filthy and still had someone’s belongings in it, the manager apologized saying the police had just evicted the person from that room!,!, again they refused a refund, we were lucky to find the Wilson Lake Inn which is a gem, do yourself a favor and stay there
We chose Mount Battie Motel on a trip through Maine due to its proximity to Camden and it's affordability. The motel has been written up in newspaper and travel publications. We were greeted by one of the owners, Christine. She was super friendly and took time to show us around the property. The rooms are meticulous - their cleaning protocol was explained to us (they use good products). The outside of the motel is beautiful. The rooms are nicely decorated. Parking is not a problem here. The room had a microwave, tv, fridge. During check-in, we could smell the wonderful baking Christine had been doing - and she later dropped off a bag of goodies at our room for us! They (Christine and husband, Ed) educated us about sights around the area. The grounds have a pool (closed at the time we were there), gazebos, tables/chairs outside. It was a very nice place!! Highly recommend.…
I usually don’t write poor reviews but this time I really feel I should. I had called Mount Blue and made a reservation over the phone some weeks before my trip to Maine, which I was doing to pay my last respects to an old friend. I had spoken with the desk clerk who took all my information and provided me with an email confirmation. In short, when I got there the reservation was not honored. The desk clerk had no idea what to do or how to run the register to provide a refund. The Mount Blue owner was contacted but refused to speak with me and after some time of back and forth conversation I was told there was nothing they could do. I was forced to put out friends in their home to allow me to stay. I strongly urge anyone thinking of going to careful and would also suggest looking into the Comfort Inn a shot way down the road. I for one will never come back.…
For the love of God, do not stay here!! If you have no where else to go (like I did) at least check out the room first. (Before you pay) Continental breakfast doesn't even open till 8am. Want some ice? Well your crap out of luck. To save money, they only run the ice machine at the other (colonial inn) hotel. The bathroom was so small that when the shower, small shower stall, not a bath, just an incredibly small shower stall was on, the fire alarm went off(and the tv suddenly only had sound, no picture). No table or chairs so if you want to eat, it's sitting on your bed trying to hold the plate or bowl so you don't spill it. To top it off the owner/manager is incredibly rude. Staff is ok but clearly they are afraid for their jobs.! I was unfortunate enough to be there for my company for 2 weeks. The owner tends to rebutt bad review saying things like " if we had known" and "I don't see you on our list". Don't fall for it!. Stay away!!…
I wanted to book a room online for myself and my fur babies, but the site said pet room pending. So I called and spoke with Wanda, she was so eager to help and so pleasant. Wanda assured me that a pet room would be available for my stay and it was. We had the best time and will only stay at Mount Blue on our future trips.
We made room reservations online. In the comments section I put that I have a 20lb dog . I everything was fine, we drive 4 hrs, got there half and hour early and no one would answer the door. We went to Walmart and came back and my husband came out without a room key and said they couldn’t give us the room because we had a dog! Apparently they don’t check the reservations? Last minute ditch! So we went to The Comfort Inn in Wilton which was unbelievable!!! They not only accommodated us for 3 nights, it was peaceful, immaculate and ALL the staff friendly! Their loss was my gain!!
I am staying here now and these people that run this place are just unprofessional they constantly are leaving during the day when I am in need of something in there vending room and don't come back for hours. Also they do have a sign that says "OPEN" so you would think they would be in there doing there job. They are so overpriced for such a small tiny room. They are trying to make it look like the rooms are so much bigger in there pictures than they are in real life so don't let that fool you especially if you are wanting to stay long-term. One more thing there WiFi is awful so if have to do any work on your computer good luck. They also run the Colonial Valley Motel which is up the road about 0.6 miles from here just an FWI.
Refused to give us room because we had a pet after we booked and paid online. Even though website said. They allowed pets for a 20 dollar charge. Was told we be refunded the next day. Travel website called. They refused to refund money. Then used some bogus excuse of pet dander. Which the cleaning is same as they should do after someone checks out anyways. These folks are totally not honest. Protect your money go somewhere else.
I couldn't get on the internet at all but the water was hot in the shower. They promise on their website ""We have a Vending Room that is open 24 Hours for your convenience."" this was not true when I stayed at this location. There was no one in the office at all.
