There are not enough accolades to express the huge enthusiasm and joy I felt after my recent ten day detox experience at Five Elements Retreat. The grounds, set by the calming water rapids of the Ayung River, are nothing short of spectacular. Truly it’s how I would imagine The Garden of Eden to look like with its lush greenery, tropical flowers, water features and Balinese statues. A constant calming treat for the eye and ear. The accommodations were high end deluxe with our private pool, view of River, outdoor shower, huge bathtub and enormous comfortable mosquito netted bed. Housekeeping was always impeccable. As was every element of service provided by each and every one of the warm, friendly and caring staff on their team. The cuisine was 100 percent vegan with many creative, tasty and well presented dishes. It’s a good introduction to the vegan lifestyle. Our cooking classes with the head chef were enlightening and fun (but with all due respect, I was not converted to becoming vegan in the real world!) Finally, the health and healing services offered were truly top of the line- as good as- if not better than the most famous spas in the world I have visited. Only locally made natural creams and lotions are used during treatments. For me the real highlight was the water healing session (beyond amazing) but all the others were excellent too. The healing staff were all top of the line. Always ending up relaxed and refreshed. Special thanks to Keetut for her constant kindness, eagerness and helpfulness to refine and define our specific activities and sessions during the stay. I can not recommend Five Elements highly enough either for an extended retreat or a short hotel stay. What a paradise!!! I hated to leave.

I have chosen Fivelements due to the detox i am going through. This retreat seemed the best to relax and detox.

Indeed a luxury retreat, away from anything. The retreat is 15min away from ubud, they offer complimentary shuttle which works fine. Coming back late to the retreat is no problem as taxis are everywhere in ubud.

The retreat itself is a little oasis in the jungle. Beautifully designed and beautiful rooms with a local touch. If you look for a detox, this place is the best. Amazing vegan food is served in their restaurant! Vegan only!!! Breakfast menu is great with a good choice of food. I stayed 5 nights and had every day something else to eat. Funny is that the restaurant is very cheap compared to the room price. Dinner you can go easily to any restaurant in Ubud. I have booked some massages and the colonic cleansing, fantastic!

In case you get bored you can easily book day-trips with the concierge. Villas are very nice, the new pool villas are cool yet not as authentic as the riverfront ones. Pure relaxation!

If you like yoga you are at a good place too! It is very pricy, yet worth it. I would like them to pay a bit more attention to details as some areas are worn out. As said, a great place to relax far away from any hustle!

I will go there again!

Beautiful place by the river. Eco friendly. No plastic used. Organic shampoo, soap, gel shower, mosquito repellent. Huge stone bathtub. It was beautiful to wake up with the river view and get yoga class. Highly recommended!

Everything and everyone was fantastic from start to finish. From check-in, restaurant, kitchen, cleaning, landscaping and maintenance staff, to every member of the incredible spa and yoga staff, to our guides throughout our various rituals and blessings, everyone was spectacularly friendly, hospitable and kind. Our yogi and wellness coordinator (or "cruise director") Surya kept everything on track and even took us on a guided bike trip to the Monkey Jungle and back. We loved our clean, beautiful scenic room with its private pool and outdoor shower, as well as the resort's riverside pool. There is also a small but well equipped gym. I think we partook in just about every one of the available spa experiences and we loved them all. Although I will say the Deep Reflexology session was considerably more painful than my open heart surgery. Food was excellent and very healthy, but you'll need to be able to manage with raw, natural food and no alcohol, which was fine for us. Five Elements is a great place to relax, recharge and jump start a healthy lifestyle. My wife is already planning our next stay.

An unpretentious place with understated luxury that turned out to be something I needed most. This place has its own energy that brought you embark on an inner journey. The staff are warm and friendly, caters you with everything you need without disturbing your privacy. All the building construction consists of nature and eco-friendly materials such as bamboo, wood, and stone. For me, each touch of these materials on my soles and hands created another healing sensation. When we arrived, we were given a welcome drink with afternoon canape that tasted soo good and refreshing. I also tried the complimentary Yoga Class the next morning, a class conducted by Ketut that had perfect twists and turns. Ketut made sure that the Yoga level she conducted matches our skills. Not to mention the vegan breakfast that made us feel full and energized. Believe me, no vegan food here tasted like it's vegan! I am not a vegan myself but I truly enjoy my meals there. Will I be back? Definitely! I enjoyed my stay so much. It was a 5-star retreat experience with good pricing.

This place……phenomenal. We were driven through a village to get to our oasis in the middle of the forest. It was spectacular. Lush greenery and stone paths with the contrast of the bamboo structures all over. We were greeted by Mia and welcomed with refreshing drink. We checked in and the room was heavenly. It was the most romantic and beautiful thing with a mosquito net canopy and comfortable sunken sitting area with. We had a stone bath with a rain shower. We also had the private infinity pool with our cabana and private meditation pavilion down a path of stone steps. Absolutely lovely. We did yoga every morning at 8:00am at the large pavilion, followed by a delicious vegan breakfast at the Sakti dinning pavilion that had seating overlooking the gorgeous roaring river below.

The food was raw vegan some dishes were warm but the taste of everything was amazing. The fresh squeezed juices and fresh fruit and yogurt were delish. We loved the red rice with grilled veggies and the porridge bowl. The cashew cheese and pesto sandwich was a party in your mouth. Everything was so good.

The spa was enchanting. We had massages, facials colonics and we participated in a fire ritual! Top notch spa and treatments.

I cannot praise the staff enough. Putu and Numan our drivers, Mia in reception and Armi, Yazmine, Pak Tirta and all the others. Thank you thank you thank you for all the kind attention we love and appreciate you! Until we see you again!

Wow. What a place. Came here for 2 nights on our honeymoon and from start to finish the staff made it so special and couldn’t do enough for us. The rooms/restaurant themselves are beautiful and you feel immersed in the jungle, backed onto the river which is so relaxing to sit by.

The highlight for us was our meditation/yoga sessions with the wonderful Surya. By luck it was just me and my husband in the class so we got a private session, and were just expecting your standard yoga session, but Surya took us deep into the true meaning of yoga and how to meditate - it was so enlightening!! So highly recommend a session with him to gain a true Balinese spiritual experience!

Thank you Fivelements for a wonderful 2 days!!

I spent my 60th birthday at Fivelements Retreat. It was an exceptional experience!!! I was made to feel so special by the staff who went out of their way to make my birthday special. This included a Flower Arrangement in my room saying Happy Birthday in flowers, a delicious cake with candle and birthday wishes written in cocoa. I chose to have a Fire Ceremony and Water blessing on my birthday day. This was a truly amazing experience to be blessed by a High Priest on my birthday.. Although we had planned otherwise, we actually never left the Fivelement Retreat as we were so happy and content there.
I had a few healings with one of the healers that were amazing. The outdoor bath overlooking the river was a beautiful way to start each day. The rooms were beautiful, the food was delicious, the staff and service were impeccable. A 5-star experience!!!!

I stayed in this hotel for four nights and it was a great experience. I purchased the five elements signature retreat package for three night and it was incredibly worth it. The treatments were amazing. The spa right on the river was breath taking. The room very nice and clean. The staff were amazing, helpful and friendly. The resort is in the jungle and very quiet giving a person time reflect, relax and connect with nature. I am a meat eater but the hotel only serves a plant based diet and their food was delicious. I would totally give up eating meat if I had food that good on a daily basis. Every meal looked so beautiful, tasted so fresh and was truly unique. I got exactly what I needed from the stay and I will make sure to return next time I got to Bali.

Greetings from Fivelements Retreat Bali, As suggested I would recommend two suites as one will be very tight. We have a two-bedroom suite with a pool, which is ideal to suit your needs or you can book two individual sleeping suites next to each other. We look forward to hearing from you.
