Highly recommend! We stayed four nights in Furama and we enjoyed a lot. It is at the end of a village, very enjoyable and silent Dschungel atmosphere. No cars or smog from the city. But you always need the free shuttle service or (taxi) to get to Ubud. The room was great and the bed very comfortable. Breakfast was a big buffet, the staff cook you fresh eggs - excellent! You can use the restaurant whole day and taste is very nice, except prices are higher than in village or Ubud. At the pool you can enjoy drinks with happy hour. But best at the end, the staff. Every one is too friendly here. Amazing! + hotel staff + atmosphere + breakfast (and all the food) + pool (and drinks) + free shuttle bus to Ubud + rooms + two security checks ~ location (outside of anything) ~ good but expensive food/drinks - WLAN connection We would come again definitely!

What can I say ? Fantastic stay , this hotel could really not be better. My husband and I booked the Furama xclusive prior to the pandemic and finally got there. Beautiful location, beautiful people and the most wonderful stay. The pool villa in its own secret garden was spotless, with the most comfortable bed and the fabulous outdoor shower was a great fun extra. All the staff are friendly and always smiling despite always busily working away. Breakfast was delicious with a great selection taken overlooking views of the paddy fields, truly breathtaking. Thank you Furama xclusive ! it was worth the wait.

This was our second stay to this hotel having stayed here in 2018 and enjoyed the experience we were excited to return. It is somewhat with a heavy heart that I am leaving this review which I feel compelled to share our experience with others with equal balance so as other travellers can make a choice whether to choose this hotel for their hard earned holiday. Stayed for 6 nights this time in a lagoon pool villa - the exclusive “luxury” villa as advertised. Only they really are no longer luxury at all and have become beyond tired and need of a complete refurbishment and a deep clean! Most hotels during covid closure took the opportunity to overhaul and ensure high levels of cleanliness leading to reopening - not here. They’ve built a new block of rooms which to us the time and money would have been better spent ensuring existing rooms met the brief described or at least having that much needed deep clean and exchange of tired worn out furniture. Even the sheets and towels were not white and some towels were frayed. We moved from 803 because it was dark and oppressive and very damp inside and out - yes it’s a tropical climate with high humidity however it didn’t get any sunshine whereas our new room once exchanged on the opposite side 813 was instantly brighter, felt airy and slightly cleaner than the first. We had heard fluttering in the villa in the night and either bat or bird poop on the sofa at the end of the bed. Ladies at room 802 advised us they had bats flying in their villa and also commented to us that the cleanliness and tiredness of rooms were far from what they expected. Room 803 had moss growing at the side of the private paddle pool and at the edge of the decking - no attention to detail in cleaning. Looking at the exterior, paint and elements are hanging off villas. There is a drainage issue - the shower would flood and check out the photo that’s not sand on the floor I dread to think what was backing up but it came up through the bath plug hole too whilst showering. Incidentally we were only given 1 small bar of soap for the shower none for the sinks and rang reception - only it didn’t come so we persevered until it was a sliver of soap asking again for another the day before departure. One would think housekeeping would see this! However housekeeping don’t see the dirt around the plug hole or base of taps and those areas by the toilet seat. I used the bathroom near the padi bar after the cleaner had finished and wiping the communal sinks - those sinks need bleaching or using a strong detergent cleaner as there was a film of brown dirt around the basin - hence a proper deep clean needed. We had a 60 minute massage included in our holiday package which was really good and the spa prices are fantastic value. Again the chairs in the spa are very worn out and mosquitos are present in the room, my husband was bitten twice during our second visit to the spa having the Furama signature massage. This was less enjoyable - no music playing and we could hear a Balinese man shouting outside the room followed by some clattering about - not the relaxing sensual experience we’d booked. There seems to be less care and attention than in 2018 but then Lana the Manager has left. Out of 6 nights we only ventured to breakfast twice. The selection wasn’t great and it is entirely self serve including your coffee! I want to be served not do it myself. Wasn’t worth getting up for so we ate breakfast one time in Ubud and another at Bali zoo both of which were fantastic! What irritated me the most and I hadn’t noticed this before but there is a distinct gap in equality and hotel staff would address and greet my husband and talk to him on the whole as though I were invisible. Mr Adrian this, Mr Adrian that - I’m a professional working woman with an equal status in my household and found this mildly offensive. I am not a kept woman whose lucky to have been brought on holiday. The hotel need to recognise this whilst maintaining respect for others cultures as we respected yours. The food in the padi restaurant during the evening was very good and we did eat here 5 out of 6 nights enjoying this. The choice of international wines is poor only local wine or Two Islands - the local wine wasn’t palatable for me. On our last evening we were told there was no Cabernet Sauvignon and had been offered the local wine. No thank you. Only staff told us that they were expecting a party of 43 French guests at 11 pm - so I am guessing that’s where the Cabernet Sauvignon was being held back for. I did enjoy the lagoon pool itself- great length to swim and as the sunsets birds fly down close to the water which is super. There is s happy hour 3-5 pm but it isn’t manned! You have to ring reception to tell them what you want - they don’t seem to grasp the concept of happy hour - buy one get one free. So my husband had a large Bintang and I a blue lagoon. Yet large Bintang we were told not in happy hour yet this isn’t on their promotion! So my blue lagoon is but told I could t have a second as my husband had chosen the Bintang!!! So with this theory in our minds we ordered the same drinks - we ended up with 4 drinks in one go which means one gets very warm before you finish the first. Also the cocktails are significantly watered down on happy hour. Nyoman was fabulous each time we met him, really friendly and we did the village trek with him. Windy was still at the hotel and it was good to see him but again seemed to only have conversation with my husband. Gede did speak with both of us and had taken my mobile number stating he would pick us up from Ubud rather than pick a taxi as the shuttle finishes at 6 pm. Gede didn’t pick us up which is fine as also bordering unprofessional- yet the following day I received WhatsApp promotional messages. No one else in Bali had my mobile number - the hotel only had my husbands number. My husband asked him to delete it and the first thing he said was that he wouldn’t pass it on - mmm we’re not convinced. Sorry however we would not return to this hotel or recommend to others - we work hard and travel a long way to experience a luxury stay as offered and this did not meet that standard.

We stayed here for 4 nights, it’s a beautiful place right in the country with nothing else around it. The grounds and gardens are beautiful and very relaxing. The hotel did provide a free shuttle into Ubud and that was great, and is a must to see. It takes around 20 mins and a taxi back will cost around £10.00. Staff were so friendly and lovely, room was excellent, very big and very clean. Would have liked a balcony to sit on but only had a big window that looked over a paddy field. Breakfast was good, with a choice of Balinese and English food. Bacon not great as usual. The restaurant was a lovely area and the food was very nice but the food and drinks were very pricey. Would recommend this hotel.

Well what a gem. The views are stunning, the staff just lovely and so eager to meet everyone's needs. Reception staff really great, I would suggest you book trips through Reception. We made the mistake to use an agent for a trip and were v disappointed when the transport didn't turn up. Reception went out of their way to organise an alternative and helped us to get a refund on the we had organised. Shuttle bus great and drivers will pick you up later than last scheduled pick up by private arrangement. Restaurant we found to be very good and breakfast provided a gd selection of foods. The accommodation is great (pool villa) and the gardens so beautiful. Traditional Balinese rooms.

We stayed for 5 nights in our own villa with our private pool. We had no concerns with our rooms. You are surrounded by nature and have loved all the lizards and birds surrounding the villas The staff were very friendly and went above and beyond. Every staff member who worked there all smiled at you and were very helpful. The rooms were very clean. We chose not to have ours cleaned daily as there really wasnt no need. The food was really lovely and so much to choose from. We had breakfast and evening meals. A free shuttle bus to Ubud centre and back which is only 15 mins away. We took a trip to the Rice terrace, the bali swing and the monkey forest. We would go back again. Thank you Furama for an amzing stay.

We stayed in a Private Villa with our own pool for 20 nights. The villa was outstanding as were the staff. The shuttle times were convenient so you could always have an early dinner in Ubud. The resort is close to nature surrounded by rice fields. The buffet breakfast was nice with a custom egg station. It included western, continental and Indonesian options. You can also to chose to have your breakfast served in your villa. Most people choose to eat lunch and dinner in Ubud and there is a wide selection of restaurants and places to shop or get a daily massage in the town.
