16 Bay East was conveniently located, the staff was friendly and efficient. The accommodations were excellent and the sunset , roof top bar was the perfect end to a perfect day. As seasoned travelers we appreciate special amenities.
We decided to celebrate our 30th anniversary in Maine, with the first two days in Camden. 16 Bay View did not disappoint. The hotel was lovely—lots of exposed brick, comfy lobby with sofas and a fireplace, and oh my goodness the cookies! Homemade chocolate chip cookies available all day alongside coffee and tea choices as well as fruity water. The complimentary breakfast each morning was more than enough—quiche, fruit, yogurt with toppings, scones, and bagels along with juices, teas, and coffee. Our room was beautiful—3rd floor king with water views. It was cold and damp while we were there and the gas fireplace in the room was perfect. The bathroom has a huge shower, a separate huge tub, and the floor is heated! We would definitely recommend 16 Bay View to anyone wanting a quiet getaway with a luxurious feel.…
A perfect weekend away. The weather wasn’t ideal but the hotel was outstanding! Loved the vintage vibe, the rooftop bar and the friendliness of the staff. Included breakfast was more than enough, although a new toaster might be helpful! Even our dogs loved it- hanging out on the balcony, scoring cookies every time they went through the lobby. Parking is a bit tricky when the area is busy, but if you can’t find something, they will park it for you and retrieve your car when you want it back. We hadn’t visited Camden in over 20 years prior to this trip. I had forgotten how beautiful the mid-coast is. We will definitely be back soon and I know exactly where we will stay when we come!
This is a truly fantastic and relaxing hotel. Everyone on staff was warm and welcoming. We loved our ocean view suite (room 28) that had a great view of the harbor and the eating/shopping area nearby. I spent a lot of time on the balcony enjoying the fresh air. Rooms are beautifully decorated and the amenities were great. My wife and daughter loved the spa tub. The breakfasts each morning were fresh and we could not have asked for a more convenient location to explore the area. We will definitely be back!
Loved the hotel, the staff, the breakfast and the location. Camden was a terrific 2-night stop on a coastal trip through Maine. Definitely explore Mt. Battie while in the area. Rooftop cocktails were an added bonus - great vantage point overlooking the harbor.
Beautiful hotel with luxury amenities in a great central location. Whenever we make our way back to Maine we will stay here again. The rooms are spacious. The heated floors and jacuzzi soaking tub in the bathroom are wonderful. Balcony was nice to sit outside in between activities and people watch. All of the hotel associates were kind and helpful. Breakfast was great. The rooftop bar is a must - even if just for a drink - to get a great view of the Harbor. And the first floor restaurant is a great place as well. Can’t say enough about what a great spot this is!
I can’t believe more reviewers are not mentioning the church bells that ring all through the night. This hotel has such great potential, but they need to ask the church to stop doing that. It woke me up every hour through the night on my 1st night. I had to buy earplugs in order to make it through the 2nd night. Unfortunately, I would not recommend staying here until they address this noise problem. Note: Rooms are beautiful and staff is great.
Awesome 2 nights. Loved the text service and automated messages for when the room was available. Weather wasn’t great but still got up to the rooftop bar and endless umbrellas provided. Best bathtub ever, free parking, and a lovely fireplace. 10/10
Booked a gorgeous corner room in a trendy boutique-style hotel overlooking Camden's harbor. Stunning, modern bathroom with oversize soaking tub and separate jet shower. Loved the peek-thru fireplace. Staff was super friendly. The rooftop bar was top notch. I've stayed at several Camden hotels, and want to say: Book here!
Loved this hotel. I want to live here. The location was great. We got a room with a view of the water. Had 2 balconies. Could hear the “waterfall” to the left. The bed was great. Loved the fireplace as it was a tad chilly when we went. The bathroom was also great, especially liked the shower head, and the towels were the softest towels I’ve ever had. Literally everything was just top notch. Had complimentary breakfast (served buffet style) and it was perfect for what I’d want in the mornings. Had hard boiled eggs and a quiche offering, yoghurt w/granola and lots of fresh fruit offerings. As well as bagels, scones and muffins. I’d be happy with all those options everyday. Also note, we booked through hotels.com, but later found out if you book directly through the hotel’s site, the ($15) parking is free. Overall we just really loved this hotel and the vintage vibe and will be hard pressed to find a better hotel (and I’m picky about hotels, especially bathrooms), but I want to stay here again, and I want it to be available in every city/town I ever travel to (guess that means we have to come back to Camden for now).…
