We stay here once each year--the Library Room is our favorite room. We also signed up for the 7 course meal they offer, and being a food snob I'm happy to report that it might be the best food in Maine.

Upon my own review before submission, I saw this as a teenie bit long, but please read it. Trust me, it's worth it. You won't regret it. I promise. My wife and I stayed at the Norumbega Inn this past January 20-23. To say we loved it is the understatement of the year! The proprietors, Sue and Phillip, are two...

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Norumbega Inn! It is restored beautifully and you felt like royalty while there! The owners are so very friendly and the food was fabulous! The other guests were varied and wonderful to chat with! Recommend this to anyone interested in a "royalty" stay! Have highly recommended this to all our friends!

My husband and I spent the night for my birthday weekend, and it couldn't have been more special. Our room looked out over the expansive property, and we were delighted to have heated floors in the bathroom. There were games to borrow in the great room, so my husband and I engaged in a cut-throat game of Trivial Pursuit, while...

We spent two nights at the Norumbega Inn for a Christmas getaway. We had a room with a gas fireplace and a bay window looking out onto Penobscot Bay. It was wonderful. Our only complaint is that they need to put two new chairs in the room. The chairs They have are old and not very comfortable. However, we still...

We're glad you enjoyed your stay with us. The fireplaces are such a treat for this time of year. Thank you for your feedback on the room as well. We have since replaced those chairs, and hope you can come back sometime to see them!

We were lucky enough to book our first stay at the Norumbega Inn for four nights following Christmas. Upon our arrival, we were met by Sue, and shortly thereafter by Phil. Sue was so welcoming that we felt as though we had just walked into a friend’s home. Sue even helped to carry our bags to our room which was...

We arrived and Sue welcomed us back like we were family. This visit we brought along my mother in law and we rented the rooms on the lower level. This included Arundel and Versailles. We started upstairs in the sitting room with Mimosas and greeted the other thanksgiving diners/guests. This turned out to be a rowdy fun crowd. The exquisite...

Wonderful to see you again and so glad to meet your mother-in-law. It's pretty significant to us when we 'meet the family'. So glad you entrusted us with your Thanksgiving celebration. Until the next time... :)

From the moment of arrival until our departure we were made to feel at home. Sue & Phil are brilliant hosts who were so inviting, welcoming and accommodating to our needs. The Inn is truly majestic...a living, breathing piece of history and ode to the past with modern appeal. The property is extremely well maintained. The common areas are elegant,...

We stayed at the Norumbega Inn for just shy of a week. We held our wedding there and it was nothing short of magical. The staff was friendly, the inn was absolutely beautiful, and the food was delectable.

Here for the wedding of a friend, we encountered amazing, welcoming service, superb food, and accommodations that were unique and spectacular. This historic home had wonderful spaces that you encountered as you wandered around the beautiful building. Many rooms had private balconies or patios, some had their own fireplaces, but the shared spaces were the star of the show. Beautiful...
