I loved the pictures of this hotel online - a B&B with modern, funky design. But when we arrived, the rooms were really disappointing. (We were 2 families, each 2 adults, 2 children, each staying in same room type). Each room featured two queen beds (each bed in separate rooms divided by a small corridor with the bathroom in the...

We're happy to hear how much you enjoyed the modern, funky design of Whitehall, and so sorry that you weren't comfortable in your room. Our queen suite rooms do indeed have somewhat smaller bathrooms than our King Suites - this is an unfortunate downside to otherwise charmingly quirky historic properties as you can imagine. The heat not being turned on...

I was told in September 2016 that there would be rooms for our family (5 adults, 2 children) for one night in August 2017 but that rates had not yet been set for 2017. I confirmed that I would keep the reservation in any case. We discussed specific rooms for us in the inn. Today, 12/15/16, I was notified that...

Gorgeous modern yet classic newly renovated property. Beautiful & well thought out interior design. Take a tour if your in the area. Meticulously managed yet not heavy handed. I felt I didn't see staff buzzing about unless I had a question or a desire and yet, here they were. I felt safe, relaxed and very much at home. Very comfortable...

A very old hotel. Decorated modern. My room and my brother in laws room had a very strange odor the entire stay. The last time I encountered that particular type odor was in Manila Ph in a very poor section of the city. The breakfast was ok, compliments of the hotel but then again for 250 a night it should...

We stayed at Whitehall Inn with a large group (roughly 30). It was a good option for the size of the party and a 10-15min. walk to the center of town. The inn was renovated a few years ago and has a more trendy, modern feel. The staff was friendly and upbeat. We stayed in room 214. Our window looked...

This is a beautiful old building that is charming on the outside and modern on the inside. Super-comfy bed, light and airy look inside, with decor that reflects the coast of Maine. Loved the wonderful breakfast buffet of creative little plates! The literary connection is that Edna St. Vincent Millay read her poetry here and played the piano that's in...

Took a quick three night vacation trip to Maine, hoping to catch the end of the beautiful fall season. It turns out that autumn has lingered long this year, and the fall foliage was at just about peak--wonderful! We got a special promotional deal and we booked at the Whitehall Inn. A wonderful choice. From the time we arrived until...

We visited the first weekend in October for my brother's wedding and had a fabulous time. Our room was on the smaller side (Queen Room), but nicely appointed and had everything that we needed. The small plate breakfasts at Pig + Poet were very good and always hit the spot with a lot of variety - egg-based dish, oatmeal, fruit,...

Everything about Whitehall is inviting. The decor, the amazingly comfortable bed and linens, the fabulous fire pits, breakfast of "small bites" and the friendly, thorough and attentive staff made our weekend sensational. Hoping it is not long before our next visit!
