This was our second stay at The Daniel . The first time we checked in very late and this time we checked in early. Both times the staff was very friendly and accommodating. The rooms are clean and comfortable , and the breakfast in the morning is spot on. The restaurant and bar area downstairs are very cozy. The hotel...

I absolutely loved my stay at The Daniel. I was there to do taxes, of all things, and I managed to enjoy myself thoroughly, with the beautiful, comfortable rooms, great room-service food and very accommodating staff. I can't wait to go back.

My son and I were visiting colleges in Maine, and spent a really lovely evening at the Daniel. The room was clean and very cozy, the beds were very comfortable, the breakfast in the morning was delicious, and everyone who works at the hotel seemed very nice. We enjoyed walking up to Maine Street from the hotel; it's all of...

I live locally and frequently visit the Bistro at The Daniel. The food is excellent and the service is always great. The staff is very friendly from the reception desk to the bartenders. Everyone makes you feel welcome from the moment you walk through the door. The food is delicious (you can build your own sandwiches with a wide variety...

The staff at the Daniel was welcoming and accommodating. The room was quite small for one adult and two small children but the beds were comfortable and it was clean. Breakfast was a nice perk but it was not much to write home about. The location is off main street which makes it quiet but less likely for one to...

We arrived late on Friday after a long trip from CT and the front desk treated us warmly and got us settled immediately. After dropping my daughter on campus, I returned to a comfortable and quiet room. The continental breakfast the next morning was perfect. I used the fitness center and spa tub and sauna which they open for each...

In October of 2016, my wife and I celebrated our wedding reception at The Daniel. We booked the entire hotel with our guests for the weekend and they could not have had a better time. Carol and her staff made sure every thing was perfect and it was. The chef created a master piece of a menu and the guests...

My wife and I stayed two nights in the suite and were enthralled. Everyone was friendly, the space was ample and well-appointed and there was clear attention to basics such as outlets, charging stations and the like. The continental breakfast was simple and high quality. The hotel is an easy walk to Maine St. and to the Bowdoin campus. We...

"The Daniel" is a new name for this property which was formerly The Captain Daniel Stone Inn. We have enjoyed the property under both names. The rooms are spacious, well appointed and newly and tastefully redecorated. Excellent bed and bedding. Good wifi internet and cable television. Our room overlooked the river. There are comfortable public areas including a fitness center....

We recently stayed at the Daniel in Brunswick, ME. It is a charming, updated, lovely hotel in a great community. Reservations were a breeze as was checkin. Our queen room was clean, spacious and comfortable with several amenities--- free WiFi, lots of cable channels, a small fridge, good lighting, great shower and a fine bed. We enjoyed the free breakfast,...
