Room, location, ambience and amenities are top notch. Service and the hospitality extended to us during our stay by the staff of all departments were first class. Dining experience at the Bubble Cafe was excellent both in terms of service and food. Thanks to their talented chefs Salin Kumar, Johnson and Jayan, we got to taste some yummy food. Chef Johnson's pastry / dessert making talents both in terms of quality of taste and presentation needs a special mention here. His plating reminded us of some of the international food shows on TV. Hospitality extended by Stewardess Karthika was outstanding. Room service and house keeping staff were extremely courteous and efficient. Sunset Cruise (only on Fridays, Saturdays) provided free for the guests by the Hotel on the back-waters was breath-taking. We got to see some Dolphins too! All together it was such a memorable and pleasant stay. Kudos and thanks to Mr.Dharmesh Cariappa, the Hotel G.M, for leading from the front.…
It was a 4 nights stay and it was a pleasant experience. It was indeed a notch higher than an average hotel. Coming out of Covid, the staff members are coping to their best they could. I will recommend this hotel for those who wanted to visit the town centre as it is only a walking distance. The hotel room is good and no complaints on the services rendered. We liked the walk along the marine drive just beside the hotel and a relaxing view of the sea. Will not think twice to stay here again.
Not a positive experience. The location is good but the service, the food, the aircon, the cleanliness, the hygiene factors are below standards. Doesn’t live up to the expectations and disappointing in every way. There was no redeeming quality.
Sorry to say , but a very average experience given Taj is running the show here Hotel needs big upgrade . Staff in the restaurant needs to be thought basic courtesy … I have stayed in many Taj / Gateway hotels , what always stands out is the standard of service but here it was really disappointing… the least you expect is rude behaviour Not sure I will stay here again
Good location - walking distance to shopping centre. Warm & friendly staff. Auntentic Kerala style breakfast. The room service was good with staff goes an extra mile to help tenants. Overall, I had a good stay at this hotel and will certainly make another trip to stay here.
pls dont book here its shame on taj , got good deal on make my trip thought its taj and yes its a taj property but bad place avoid ,every guest who came in had a issue since all booked on back of taj , sorry taj i know ur a great chain and best , but this place pls give away or disown . the room is musty and people with allergy and pollution issue will die with this smell and full of mosquitoes thanks to cochin marine drive sea and room has sea view so people book and on room balcony door they have put mosquitoes sticker so u dont open , sad place all i can say i checked in and checked out in 15 mins and told them to cancel the booking , never go here , atleast they can repaint and maintain that place which i dont know why taj is not doing . cant see local people from state in this hotel its mainly tourist who came on back of taj name .…
This my second stay at this hotel, the previous stay almost 8 years back. This time the hotel did not meet the expectations. I was allotted a city view room in the corner (room 514). The room was quite spacious and had the bathroom at the far end which was a bit out of place. The plaster on the wall was peeling below the television and the corridor leading to the room was musty and having a bad smell. There was no wifi signal inside the room, probably as it was at one end of the hotel. The Bubble restaurant was the saving grace with nice arrangement and good food. The staff were courteous and polite. The hotel is in desperate need of a maintenance upgrade. Sad to see a Taj property this way.
We were allotted the executive sea view room. The view from the room was excellent. The rooms are little small and aged, but the location and the views make up for the loss. The food is tasty and breakfast spread is decent. Overall good place to stay.
Overall stay was happy. Neatness and hygiene was great. Bubble Cafe breakfast and team was excellent. Recommended stay. In room amenities can be improved and check out experience to be improved. Overall happy
Our stay at Taj Gateway Cochin was pleasant for 2 nights. Location is excellent on Maine drive. The staff is helpful and the breakfast is really good. The hotel can improve on look abd linen needs replacement
